------------------------------AVIVA ENDEAN is a clarinettist, composer, sound artist and performance-maker dedicated to connecting people with each other and their environment through attentive listening. She regularly works across a range of contexts including experimental and improvised music, new chamber music, and cross-disciplinary collaborations. Aviva’s work seeks to extend beyond the boundaries of her art form and to reimagine the possibilities of sound.
Having collaborated with some of Australia’s most respected arts organisations (including The Australian Art Orchestra, Room40, Chamber Made, TURA, and Chunky Move, and having been awarded within contexts such as the Freedman Music Fellowship, the APRA/AMCOS Art music award or Greenroom (best composition for dance), Aviva’s staged works have been shown at DARK MOFO, Castlemaine State Festival, MONA FOMA, Darwin Festival and Sydney Contemporary Art Fair, and she has toured her solo music inter/nationally including Sound of Stockholm, Only Connect (Norway) and Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival (UK) and Angelica (IT).

PEENOISE (BE)
Making music together since childhood, the Belgian brothers Gilles Vandecaveye-Pinoy and Cesar De Sutter-Pinoy create mysterious avant-pop and experimental music, by many considered as one of Belgium's most original underground bands.
heir music sounds ominous, catastrophic, but also warm and infectious. The band takes on experimentation and seeks out their sound in a fresh and playful way that allows the uniqueness of their music to emerge very prominently. For Straight Lines, Strange People (2024), the brothers repeatedly withdrew from the city and their comfort zone to be surrounded by nature. Gradually, they began to build their own musical landscape in which their imagination could thrive and flourish. In this album, they allow humour, darkness and surrealism to coexist.
They went even further in their research and experiment and created music that is almost entirely instrumental. Only now and then there is a human voice, reflecting on life. The music is disturbingly strange and moving at the same time.
