screen-inator explores the screen as an object present in our lives. used for almost every action in our daily routines, this 3d object occupies space in the physical realm, almost as an extension of the human body.
the smartphone screen functions as a social mediator, while at the same time facilitating communication channels between people wit- hout requiring physical presence. furthermore, smartphone devices perform tasks given by the user in order to run smoothly and effectively.
the screen can be metaphorically compared to a performer in our contemporary society, while at the same time, it is in constant development regarding function, action and new features that have exponentially become more advanced.
the screen is a window to the digital world that also frames everything inside. a shaped restrict window that reveals valuable information, but at what cost?
the scope of this project aims at inviting the audience to collaborate in this work of art and live the experience through the participatory process by questioning the relation we have built throughout time with these technological devices.
