Honeyland é um retrato da relação do humano com a natureza.

Existe uma regra na apicultura: deve-se pegar só metade do mel, e deixar o resto para as abelhas.
Hatidze, uma mulher de 50 anos, a última caçadora de abelhas da Europa, respeita religiosamente essa condição. No alto nas montanhas da Macedónia do Norte ela vive isolada com sua mãe. No entanto, quando uma familia nomada chega para trabalhar apicultura na região e não seguem a regra, o equilíbrio do ecossistema desses animais é ameaçado. Hatidze precisa se esforçar para persuadí-los a seguir os pilares elementares para a sobrevivência das abelhas.

Honeyland is a portrait of the human's relationship with nature.

There is a rule in beekeeping: you should take only half of the honey, and leave the rest to the bees.
Hatidze, a 50-year-old woman, Europe's last traditional bee hunter, religiously respects this condition. High in the mountains of North Macedonia, she lives alone with her mother. However, when a nomadic family arrives to work beekeeping in the region and do not follow the rule, the balance of the ecosystem of these animals is threatened. Hatidze must strive to persuade them to follow the elementary pillars for the bees' survival.
