Após uma vivência de dois meses no campo, no Alentejo, a artista traz algumas questões relacionadas com o habitat natural da vida humana, e a relação entre o corpo e o meio, o micro e o macro. O corpo de trabalhos em exibição combina pintura acrílica e aguarelas com objetos domésticos, onde os fragmentos habitam o espaço e dialogam com o meio circundante num processo de assemblagem e estratificação. BIO: VERIDIANA LEITE (São Paulo, 1979) é formada em Artes Visuais pela Escola Massana, Barcelona e pós graduada em Teatro dos Sentidos pela Universidade de Girona. Vive e trabalha entre São Paulo e Lisboa. A pintura é seu principal meio de expressão, mas trabalha também com escultura, instalação e fotografia. A sua prática artística procura perspetivas não convencionais dentro de um mesmo espaço a partir da tensão entre a abstração e a imagem construída. As composições pictóricas geram luminosidade, energia vital impregnada de formas orgânicas e naturais em contraste com formas geométricas e urbanas e, portanto, uma conexão entre o interior e o exterior. O constante deslocamento da artista, a sua relação com a natureza e os seus fenómenos, a memória, o imaginário, o acaso e a emoção inspiram na criação de lugares numa materialidade diluída e fluida. Participou de diversas residências artísticas dentre as quais: Obras Foundation (Alentejo 2020), Hangar, (Lisboa, 2020), Casero residência (Rio de Janeiro, 2019), Agora Collective (Berlim 2012), Nena´s Contemporary art (Chiang Mai, Tailândia, 2013). Entre as exposições coletivas destacam-se “Clube” no Espaço Nowhere (Lisboa, 2020), “Le Salón dês Refusés” na Casa da Luz (São Paulo,2019), “Pensaram ser paisagem, era corpo” no BNP Paribas Bank, através de Kura arte (São Paulo, 2018), “Coletiva” na Galeria Nauart (Barcelona, 2016), “Black Tie” no Espaço Cultural do BNDES (Rio de Janeiro, 2015), "Catarse" na Fábrica Bhering (Rio de Janeiro, 2014). Realizou algumas exposições individuais , entre elas “Passagens” na Galeria Sala da Praça (Ribeirão Preto, 2015) e “Azul” na galeria Adearte (Ribeirão Preto, 2013). After a two-month experience in the countryside, in Alentejo, the artist raises some questions related to the natural habitat of human life, addressing the relationship between the body and the environment, the micro and the macro. The body of works on display combines acrylic painting and watercolors with domestic objects, where the fragments inhabit the space and dialogue with the surrounding environment through an assembly and layering process. BIO: VERIDIANA LEITE (São Paulo, 1979) has a degree in Visual Arts from Escola Massana, Barcelona and a postgraduate degree in Theater of the Senses from the University of Girona. Lives and works between São Paulo and Lisbon. Painting is her main medium of expression, but she also works with sculpture, installation and photography. Her artistic practice seeks unconventional perspectives within the same space, based on the tension between abstraction and the constructed image. The pictorial compositions generate luminosity, vital energy impregnated with organic and natural forms in contrast to geometric and urban forms, addressing a connection between the interior and the exterior. The artist's constant displacement, her relationship with nature and her phenomena, with memory, imagery and chance inspire the creation of places in a diluted and fluid materiality. She participated in several artistic residencies, among them: Obras Foundation (Alentejo 2020), Hangar, (Lisbon, 2020), Casero Residência (Rio de Janeiro, 2019), Agora Collective (Berlin 2012), Nena´s Contemporary art (Chiang Mai, Thailand, 2013).
