Write Out Loud! Poetry Workshop

Write Out Loud! Poetry Workshop

A poetry workshop! One of the poets’ biggest challenge is to establish and materialize their personal voice into poetic form. This workshop will focus on introducing aspiring poets to different poetic genres, poets, styles, and forms, aiming to exercise their pen (or keyboard) with hands-on approach. Ideal for poets and writers who want to explore their poetic selves by experimenting and challenging their styles.

Skills required: Creativity, Critical Thinking, RESPECT

Need To Bring: Notebooks, Pens

Language: English

The first class will be donation-based. Write Out Loud! is a bi-weekly workshop. Attendees can drop-in to one class but are encouraged to keep coming.

The workshop will be led by Danae, a poetry-lover with a soft spot for animals and ice-cream. She is the editor-in-chief of the anarchist zine Anomie, where she writes pieces on feminism and women’s rights, and founder and curator of Litehouse, a literature project aiming to promote poetry and literature from second-language English speakers. Her poems have been published in TAST and WordsNQuotes. She hopes that her poetry workshop will help other aspiring poets overcome their imposter syndrome (and hers as well.)
