Num ato de desespero, ele entra no seu barro para lhe dar vida. Esculpe barro na sua cabeça, enterrando-se no material, erradicando a sua identidade e tornando-se numa obra de arte viva, algo como um marionetista numa marioneta. Então, o material cega-o e ele é forçado a olhar para dentro, no mais profundo do Eu. Numa performance fascinante, expressiva e total, Sagazan troca de identidade em palco, da “Face Sagrada” para a “Face Carnal”. Ele fura, apaga e desvenda as camadas do seu rosto numa busca frenética e desinibida. Pintar e esculpir-se a si próprio torna-se num tipo de ritual posicionado entre a dança e o transe, onde a improvisação e o acaso são o motor criativo. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The performance “Transfiguration” is the story of the sculptor‘s unfulfilled desire to imbue his creation with life. In a gesture of despair, he enters in his material clay to give it life. He sculpts clay on his head, burying himself in the material, eradicating his identity and becoming a living work of art, somewhere puppeteer in a puppet. But then, the material blinds him and he is forced to look inwards, into the very depths of his Self. In a fascinating, expressive, total performance, Sagazan shifts identities on stage, from “holy Face” to the “Meat Face”. He pierces, erases and unravels the layers of his face in a frenetic and uninhibited quest.
