A dupla apresenta uma série inédita na qual têm trabalhado regularmente desde 2017 e que vê agora a luz do dia pela primeira vez. Trata-se de um conjunto de colagens, resultante da leitura do diário Público e correspondente à tradução de uma obra "estrangeira", cuja origem não pretendem revelar antes da inauguração. BIO: Sara & André nasceram em 1980 e 1979, em Lisboa, onde vivem e trabalham e estudaram, respetivamente, Realização Plástica do Espetáculo na Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema (Lisboa, 1999-2005) e Artes Plásticas na Escola Superior de Arte e Design (Caldas da Rainha 1999-2005). Juntos estudaram Pintura na Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes (Lisboa, 2008-2011). Expõem regularmente desde 2006. Realizaram e participaram em diversas exposições individuais e colectivas, em museus, galerias e espaços independentes tais como: 3+1 Arte Contemporânea (Lisboa); Appleton Box (Lisboa); Armário (Lisboa); Atelier-Museu Júlio Pomar (Lisboa); CAC Málaga (Málaga, Espanha); Centre del Carme (Valência, Espanha); Espacio Trapézio (Madrid, Espanha); Fundação Arpad Szenes / Vieira da Silva (Lisboa); Galería Bacelos (Madrid, Espanha); Galeria Baginski Projetos (Lisboa); Inflight (Hobart, Austrália); MAAT / Fundação EDP (Lisboa); MAM (Macau, China); Museu Coleção Berardo (Lisboa); Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga (Lisboa); MNAC - Museu do Chiado (Lisboa); Museu da Cidade / Pavilhão Branco (Lisboa); Old School (Lisboa); OTR Espacio de Arte (Madrid, Espanha); PÊSSEGOpráSEMANA (Porto); Queen’s Nails Projects (São Francisco, EUA); Rosalux (Berlim, Alemanha) e The Mews Project Space (Londres, Reino Unido). Em 2017 comissariaram o ciclo de exposições Curated Curators, na Zaratan - Arte Contemporânea (Lisboa), do qual surgiu o livro Uma Breve História da Curadoria (Documenta, Lisboa, 2019). Estão representados em diversas coleções públicas e privadas e o seu trabalho é regularmente publicado em livros e revistas especializadas. The duo presents an unprecedented series in which they have been working regularly since 2017 and which now sees the light of day for the first time. It is a set of collages, resulting from the reading of the daily newspaper Público and corresponding to the translation of a "foreign" artwork, whose origin they do not intend to reveal before the opening. BIO Sara & André were born in 1980 and 1979, in Lisbon, where they live and work. They graduated, respectively, in Stage Design at the School of Theatre and Cinema (Lisbon, 1999-2005), and in Visual Arts at the School of Art and Design (Caldas da Rainha, 1999-2005). Together they studied Painting at the National Society of Fine Arts (Lisbon, 2008-2011).
