VIDEOARTE EM AGOSTO #2 Curador convidado: Bernadette Caille “Não apagamos a verdade, nem mesmo a mentira”, o slogan do maio de 68. A sessão é uma série de filmes mudos, os Ciné-tracts, curtas-metragens deliberadamente anónimas, feitas a partir de maio de 1968, em Paris. Muitos foram filmados por Jean-Luc Godard ou Chris Marker, mas sempre sob a forma de obra coletiva não assinada. De acordo com um texto da época, os Ciné-tracts devem "desafiar-propor-chocar-informar-questionar-afirmar-convencer-pensar-gritar-rir-denunciar-cultivar". Pequenos filmes mudos (excepto um, o número 6) que mostram a determinação dos estudantes e dos trabalhadores. Mostram também a violência da polícia. Até ao momento, 111 foram recuperados e restaurados. Muitas das fotografias utilizadas foram tiradas por Gilles Caron, extraordinário fotógrafo desaparecido no Camboja, aos 30 anos de idade, em abril de 1970. Bernadette Caille é editora, professora e curadora. Foi, nomeadamente, curadora da exposição 1968, quelle histoire !, nos Rencontres de la photographie d’Arles, em 2018, e no FUSO - Anual de Videoarte Internacional de Lisboa, nesse mesmo ano, propondo uma seleção destes films-tracts, enquanto testemunhos históricos dos acontecimentos que abalaram a França e o mundo. é- ° , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ’ Os Ciné-tracts são curtas-metragens, deliberadamente anónimas, realizadas a partir de maio de 1968, em Paris. A sua produção cessaria em 1970. Fazem parte dos projetos concebidos dentro dos Etats Généraux du Cinéma, reunidos a partir de 17 de maio de 1968. Cada Ciné-tract é filmado com truca (banc-titre) e sem montagem, com fotografias francesas e estrangeiras, geralmente numa única bobina de 16mm, ou seja, 2min 44s. Durante os momentos mais fortes do protesto, estudantes ou artistas que a eles se juntaram imprimem até 3000 cartazes por dia, afixados por voluntários nas paredes de Paris, depois das grandes cidades francesas. Os trabalhadores chegam ao “Atelier”, dialogam e debatem slogans e o poder das palavras usadas para que as produções sejam mais próximas da realidade das lutas. Essa "revolução plástica" encontrou a sua prosperidade noutras áreas, como a música, o cinema, a filosofia ou a literatura, que experienciaram tremendas explosões, dando origem a movimentos com abordagens extremamente originais e além fronteiras. Os Ciné-tracts são feitos com a mesma filosofia: matéria-prima, sem montagem, sem assinaturas, sem som. Estes filmes tiveram uma distribuição militante, nomeadamente através da cooperativa SLON que mais tarde se tornou Iskra (faísca em russo, em referência à Revolução de 1917). The session is a series of silent films, the Ciné-tracts, short films, deliberately anonymous, made from may 1968, in Paris. They were always filmed in the form of an unsigned collective work, sometimes by confirmed directors, such as Jean-Luc Godard or Chris Marker. According to a text from the time, the Ciné-tracts must "challenge-propose-shock-inform-question-affirm-convince-think-scream-laugh-denounce-cultivate". Small silent films (except one, number 6) show the determination of students and workers. They also show police violence. To date, 111 have been recovered and restored. The author of most of the photographs is Gilles Caron, who died in Cambodja, in 1970, at the age of 30. Bernardette Caille is an editor, professor and curator.
