Nyege Nyege: Uma Nova Esperança é o primeiro capítulo do novo programa de música e som do maat, intitulado Terra Irada — que será apresentado por ocasião do Dia Internacional dos Museus, 18 de maio de 2020. As comemorações do Dia Internacional dos Museus 2020, cujo tema deste ano é “diversidade e inclusão”, relembram-nos que só através de um processo em aberto de debate produtivo e de solidariedade criativa é que os museus, enquanto precursores de cultura, podem continuar a apoiar a transformação das visões do mundo resultantes do respeito mútuo e cuidado pelo nosso destino comum, e que os desafios que um enfrenta são sempre desafios enfrentados por muitos. Nesta colaboração inédita com o maat, o programa transmite 6 atuações e dj sets a partir de 6 localizações no mundo — África do Sul, Mali, Tanzânia, Santa Lúcia nas Caraíbas, Ilha da Reunião e Uganda — onde comunidades e ideias visionárias se unem sob uma única bandeira de progresso, confronto, celebração e compreensão.
