These work has been presented in national and international festivals, events, and concerts, such as MIA, Creative Fest Lisbon & Berlim, Jazz no Parque de Serralves at Porto, with Joelle+5, Joelle Léandre, Susana Santos Silva, Maria Radich, Joana Guerra, Angelica Salvi, BCN Impro Fest at Barcelona and Festival Urogallo at Léon, Festival Underscore no cinema S.Jorge Cinema, with Pavel Fajt, all with Maria Radich, Maga Sessions, Lisboa Soa, Jazz ao Centro at Coimbra with Lantana.

Her recent activities include programming, curating, and event production no only as a founding member of Cultural Cooperative Penhasco but in events such as the Women focused Mini-Festival “Pequenas Notáveis” at the Pequena Notável Bar, Lisbon (2018), ImproJam. In 2019, her work was recognized with her nomination as 2019 Best Portuguese Musician or Band by Rui Eduardo Paes, in Jazz.pt: “Maria do Mar. Following on the steps of Carlos “Zíngaro”, Sei Miguel, Ernesto Rodrigues, and Paulo Chagas, who all important catalysers of specific movements in the Portuguese jazz scene, the Lisbon-based violinist is the first women doing the same, not only as a result of her musical activity which was remarkable in 2019 (she participated in several groups, (ranging from Lantana, Mayuhma to Pan(A)Sónicos to other projects exploring more distant sonorities) but also as programmer and producer.”

In her work she explores a wide and varied universe and the development of a personnel language, with tenuous aesthetical boundaries, opening up boundless creative cross-possibilities.
