Pelo segundo ano consecutivo organizamos o Laboratório Clown de Verão com Tom Roos (BE/SA) nas Oficinas do Convento em Montemor o Novo (Portugal).
De 27 de Julho a 7 de Agosto esperamos por vocês para duas semanas de imersão na arte do clown minimalista. 
O trabalho é intenso e divide-se em dois momentos essenciais: um primeiro momento destinado ao trabalho de treino e de iniciação à arte do clown minimalista e num segundo momento, a pesquisa desenvolvida em torno da criação de momentos/ sketches clownescos.
No final, faremos uma apresentação final, aberta à comunidade e ao público em geral.
O Laboratório Clown de Verão pretende ser um momento anual de encontro, partilha e estímulo à arte do palhaço a nível nacional e deseja também proporcionar a troca entre participantes de todos os pontos do mundo.

Não é necessária experiência prévia para participar nas duas semanas.
Participantes que desejem ingressar na segunda semana devem ter experiência anterior ou ter já realizado um curso com Tom Roos.

Durante o Laboratório a artista belga Alowies fará desenhos ao vivo.

A EQUIPA

TOM ROOS 
(Bélgica/África do Sul)
Nasceu em 1954 na África do Sul. Em 1982, criou a companhia ’WurreWurre’ com Philippe De Maertelaere e o cão Boost, um duo clownesco inteiramente consagrado à promoção do inútil. Depois, representou em salas e festivais do mundo inteiro. Tom Roos é igualmente professor de teatro (especializado em clown) e encenador na Bélgica e no estrangeiro. Depois de 2000, trabalha regularmente no Soweto em África do Sul com crianças e adolescentes saídos dos ghettos. Continua igualmente a sua carreira de actor e encenador.
Desde 2000, Tom Roos, com o apoio da Comunidade Flamenga, trabalha numa base regular em Soweto, com o Centro Comunitário Ipelegeng, para criar espetáculos teatrais e de rua de alta qualidade com jovens do município.
Além disso, trabalha internacionalmente como diretor, comediante, contador de histórias, palhaço e professor.
Desde  2014, Tom Roos é um dos co-fundadores da “CONTACTCLOWN IN DE ZORG”, um grupo profissional de palhaços de cuidados para pessoas com demência e pessoas com deficiências mentais.
Tom Roos também é membro ativo da Clowns Without Borders Belgium, e já realizou várias missões em centros de refugiados, na Bélgica e no Líbano.

Artista visual, Designer.Vive em Ghent, Bélgica.
Estudou Artes Gráficas no St-Lucas Hogeschool em Ghent.
Além do seu trabalho pessoal, baseado no corpo humano, cooperou em projectos de teatro.Os seus desenhos vivos durante os workshops teatrais representam o movimento e a expressão dos participantes e tornam-se o "story board" do processo criativo.Isto dá uma dimensão extra ao processo criativo.

Eva Ribeiro

Palhaça, comediante e criadora dos seus próprios espetáculos
Nos últimos 15 anos, ela tem vindo a descobrir seu trabalho na arte da palhaçaria, do bufão e do teatro de rua. Ela faz parte da cia. Testemunhas duo.
Agradece nesse seu percurso a mestria de figuras nacionais como Pedro Correia, Jorge Paxeco e Pedro Fabião e internacionais como Jesus Jara, Virigina Imaz, Celia Ruiz, Alex Navarro e Caroline Dream, Jeff Johnson, John Johnson Melville, Tom Roos, Silvia Leblon, Adelvane Nea, John Beale, Eric Davis (Red Bastard) Elise-Ouvrier-Buffet e palhaço Tomate. Estuda teatro físico na Escola Jacques Lecoq, em Paris. Eva Ribeiro orienta oficinas de palhaçaria, onde compartilha sua profunda crença na arte transformadora da palhaça. Ela adora visitar pessoas onde o isolamento é sentido através do projeto Palhaços Visitadores. Ela faz parte do comitê organizador de festivais como o festival internacional de palhaças Bolina e de Gargalhadas na Lua - mostra de clown e de comicidade.

Nuvem Voadora
A Nuvem Voadora é uma companhia de circo contemporâneo e de teatro de rua que celebrou em 2018, 10 anos de existência. Desde o seu inicio que a companhia tem como objectivo promover e desmistificar a linguagem do Clown. Todas as suas criações são reflexo disso, cruzando a arte do palhaço com diferentes técnicas e várias linguagens artísticas, como a música, a dança ou vídeo, envolvendo profissionais com formações diversas, para criar espectáculos acessíveis a todos os públicos. A companhia Nuvem Voadora têm um programa de itinerância bastante consistente levando as suas criações a várias cidades em Portugal e no estrangeiro. Os Irmãos Esferovite são um dos projectos de referência. Esta banda de palhaços tem apresentado o seu espectáculo pelo mundo, desde campos de refugiados na Palestina, a hospitais ou prisões, lembrando a importância do respeito pelos direitos humanos. 
A companhia Nuvem Voadora organiza, desde 2013, o Encontro Internacional de Palhaços de Vila do Conde, um dos eventos únicos no país que tem a arte do Palhaço como foco programático.

For the second consecutive year we organize the Clown Summer Lab with Tom Roos (BE / SA) at the Convent Workshops in Montemor o Novo (Portugal), one hour from Lisbon.
From July 27th to August 7th we await you for two weeks of immersion in the art of the minimalistic clown.
The work is intense and will be divided into two essential moments: a first moment intended for the training and initiation work of the art of the minimalistic clown and in a second moment, the research developed around the creation of clownesque moments or small sketches.
In the end there will be a final presentation open for the community.
The Clown Summer Lab is intended to be an annual time for meeting, sharing and stimulating the art of clowns at national level and also aims to promote the gathering of participants from all over the world.

No prior experience is required to participate in both weeks.
Participants wishing to join the second week must have previous experience or have already taken a course with Tom Roos.

During the Lab , the belgium artist Alowies will be making live drawings.

THE TEAM

TOM ROOS
(Belgium / South Africa)
He was born in 1954 in South Africa. In 1982, he created the company 'WurreWurre' with Philippe De Maertelaere and the dog Boost, a clownesco duo devoted entirely to the promotion of the useless. Then he performed in theaters and festivals around the world. Tom Roos is also a theater teacher (specializing in clown) and director in Belgium and abroad. After 2000, she works regularly at Soweto in South Africa with children and teenagers coming from the ghettos. He also continues his acting and acting career.
Since 2000, Tom Roos, with the support of the Flemish Community, has been working on a regular basis in Soweto with the Ipelegeng Community Center to create high quality street and theatrical shows with young people from the municipality.

Since 2014, Tom Roos has been a co-founder of CONTACTCLOWN IN DE ZORG, a professional group of care clowns for people with dementia and people with mental disabilities.

Nuvem Voadora
Nuvem Voadora is a contemporary circus and street theater company that celebrated 10 years of existence in 2018. Since its inception, the company has aimed to promote and demystify the language of Clown. All of his creations are a reflection of this, crossing the art of the clown with different techniques and various artistic languages, such as music, dance or video, involving professionals with different backgrounds, to create shows accessible to all audiences. The company Nuvem Voadora has a very consistent roaming program taking its creations to several cities in Portugal and abroad. The Styrofoam Brothers are one of the reference projects. This band of clowns has presented its show around the world, from refugee camps in Palestine, to hospitals or prisons, remembering the importance of respect for human rights.
The Nuvem Voadora company has been organizing, since 2013, the International Meeting of Clowns of Vila do Conde, one of the unique events in the country that has the art of Clown as a programmatic focus.
