Carnaval Feminista #3 No dia 24 de Fevereiro a partir das 20h nos Anjos 70, vem dançar até o patriarcado cair, pelo terceiro ano consecutivo, neste nosso Carnaval Feminista de Lisboa! ! Este é o primeiro evento do ano de angariação de fundos para o Festival Feminista de Lisboa. Assim como para nós, sabemos que para muitas pessoas esta não é simplesmente só mais uma festa no meio das comemorações carnavalescas – o Carnaval Feminista é um momento único de diversão, união e revolução! Porque são demasiados os espaços onde não nos sentimos segures, onde não podemos celebrar as nossas conquistas sem medos, onde não nos vemos representadas e valorizadas. É uma alegoria à libertinagem, ao prazer da noite e à diversão colectiva. Para ela, a música é arte e o corpo do espectador faz parte desse quadro. É uma mulher do seu tempo, do mundo. A proposta é dançar-se “de olhos fechados”. Filipa faz parte da organização do Festival Feminista de Lisboa e em 2019 fez a abertura do FFLX com o projecto “Woman is a word”, um colectivo de djs mulheres a tocarem lado a lado. __Chima Hiro: https://www.mixcloud.com/chimahiro Antes de tudo, Chima Hiro é uma fã de música. Isso manifesta-se na forma como dança e na forma como já procurava malhas especiais nos recantos mais inesperados, bem antes de sequer sonhar ser DJ. As faixas que escolhe para os seus sets abraçam um espectro tão expansivo e surpreendente como o seu gosto inatacável. Moody mas também colorida, inovadora mas arquetipal - é música que vai do new age ao jazz, passando por beats distorcidos sobre linhas acid tanto quanto por house melodioso e uplifting. __Joana D Água: https://www.facebook.com/JJDAGUA Joana D Água, filha de mãe angolana e pai Português, viveu em Faro (Algarve) até aos 17 anos e actualmente reside em Lisboa, onde nasceu. Estudou pintura na Universidade de Belas Artes, trabalhou como actriz de teatro, estudou dança contemporânea e compõe canções desde 2005. Neste momento, Joana encontra-se a preparar um álbum de canções originais com o nome "IDA" (o mesmo nome da sua exposição de pintura, exibida no Espelho de Água em 2019) que será lançado no ano de 2020. Tem desenvolvido o seu trabalho artístico - PLANO V. - que envolve música, pintura, dança e performance. É uma obra de arte multidimensional que ocupa diversas frentes artísticas e cujo objectivo é empoderar mulheres artistas. As canções originais que apresenta são músicas de intervenção com batidas electrónicas, que a mesma apelida de "música de dança interventiva". Aborda temas como feminismo, escravatura, injustiças sociais da actualidade, luta pelos direitos das mulheres negras em particular e das mulheres em geral. __CIGARRA: https://soundcloud.com/a_cigarra Ágatha Barbosa (a.k.a. Cigarra) é DJ, produtora e label manager, cresceu na densa cena underground de São Paulo e participou da efervescência de suas festas e festivais assim como na formação original da conceituada Voodoohop. Há uma década explora sets únicos, e a partir desta experiência cria seus próprios casulos sonoros. Em 2016 lançou o EP "Límbica" e em 2018 "Ato" pela Tropical Twista Records, onde também foi manager e curadora expoente compilação feminina Hystereofônica, que conta com três volumes e mais de 60 mulheres envolvidas e agora acaba de se tornar um selo independente com um programa mensal na Rádio Quântica em Lisboa. Ritmos brasileiros e de diversas partes longínquas do mundo agregam-se em um set contagioso de hipnóticas e sedutoras frequências que vão do global bass ao downtempo. Todas suas potencialidades e seu enfoque na expressão feminina inspira uma legião de mulheres a cantarem uníssonas na sua pista. Ao longo dos anos continuamos a trabalhar no duro no cenário do roller derby, através de bootcamps com skaters e treinadores internacionais, contribuindo para o Team Portugal com skaters e funcionários e organizando regularmente jogos com equipas internacionais. Her music carries her audience to another dimension. It is an allegory of debauchery, the pleasure of the night and collective fun. For her, music is art and the viewer's body is part of this picture. She is a woman of her time, of the world. The proposal is to dance "with your eyes closed". That manifests in the way she dances and in how she was already looking for special tracks in the most unexpected corners, well before she even dreamt of being a DJ. Moody but colourful, innovative but archetypal - it's music that touches on new age and jazz as well as distorted beats over acid lines or uplifting, melodic house. __Joana D Água: https://www.facebook.com/JJDAGUA Joana D Água, daughter of an Angolan mother and Portuguese father, lived in Faro (Algarve) until the age of 17 and currently lives in Lisbon, where she was born. She studied painting at the Universidade de Belas Artes, worked as a theater actress, studied contemporary dance and composes songs since 2005. At this moment, Joana is preparing an album of original songs with the name "IDA" (the same name of her painting exhibition at the Espelho D’ Água in 2019) that will be released in 2020. She has developed her artistic work - PLANO V. - which involves music, painting, dance and performance. It is a multidimensional work of art that occupies several artistic fronts and whose objective is to empower women artists. The original songs she presents are intervention songs with electronic beats, which she calls "interventional dance music". A decade ago, she explores unique sets, and from this experience creates her own sound cocoons. The last team to appear in Lisbon, our team was built upon the principles of perseverance, sports ethic and commitment, principles that have been fueling our ambitious goals ever since. We hit the ground running and on our first year hosted not only our first game but also the first roller derby game between two national teams: LGRD VS Roller Derby Porto. Throughout the years that followed, we remained hard working and active on the roller derby scene, regularly hosting bootcamps with international skaters and coaches, contributing towards Team Portugal with skaters and staff, and regularly organizing and hosting games with international teams. Being a GRRRL is an atitude, it is being together and united, striving towards our common goals and respecting our common values. Our ambition is to be WFTDA and that is why, since day one, we’ve been focusing on establishing a solid base and building our future, with a team/charter composed solely of people who identify with these values.
