Os desafios que oferece o arquivo para operar a sua incompletude, os dispositivos que se desenvolvem para trabalhar em questões que estão intensivamente em luta e portanto, em terreno instável. É com uma perspectiva descentralizada e desmultiplicada face à tradição disciplinar dominante que estas questões são levantadas na exposição "R-Humor". As coleções fotográficas, filmes, ensaios e documentos em exposição serão o ponto de partida para uma conversa com cada um dos convidados, cujos interesses e trajetos encontraram cumplicidade com pesquisas que Simão levou a cabo para a realização da exposição "R-Humor" e que, invariavelmente, envolvem a histórica da África Austral, Moçambique, mas também as inferências históricas com países Europeus, em particular, Alemanha e Portugal. The conversations organized within the context of the exhibition R-humor at Galeria da Av. Da India will feature guests with different experiences within the fields of cultural activism, journalism, film research, photography and history. The challenges offered by an archive for the operation of its incompleteness and the devices developed to work on issues that involve intense struggle find themselves on unstable ground. These issues are raised in the exhibition R-humour with a decentralised perspective of the dominant disciplinary tradition. Photographic collections, films, essays and exhibited documents will be the starting point for a conversation with each of the guests, whose interests and career paths overlap to some degree with the research that Simão has carried out for the exhibition R-humour and which invariably involve the history of Southern Africa and Mozambique, but also European countries such as Germany and Portugal in particular. Galerias Municipais invite you for a series of conversations between the artist Catarina Simão and guests: Tania Adam, Leonel Matusse, Raquel Ribeiro, Omar Ribeiro Tomaz, Caio Simões de Araújo, Filipa Lowndes Vicente and João Pedro George. RAQUEL RIBEIRO é jornalista, escritora e professora de Estudos portugueses na universidade de Edimburgo. É membro do Cuba Research Fórum, da universidade de Nottingham. OMAR RIBEIRO THOMAZ é antropólogo e professor livre-docente da Unicamp, Campinas. Desenvolveu pesquisas nas áreas de antropologia da guerra e do conflito. Realizou as suas pesquisas no Brasil, na Alemanha, Portugal e França, Angola, Guiné-Bissau, Moçambique, Namíbia e África do Sul, no Haiti e República Dominicana e em territórios da Europa central e oriental (em particular Sérvia, Bósnia e antiga RDA). RAQUEL RIBEIRO is a journalist, writer and professor of Portuguese Studies at the University of Edinburgh. She is a member of the Cuba Research Forum at the University of Nottingham. OMAR RIBEIRO TOMAZ is an anthropologist and lecturer at Unicamp, Campinas. He has developed research in the area of the anthropology of war and conflict. He has conducted research in Brazil, Germany, Portugal, France, Angola, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Haiti, the Dominican Republic and in territories of central and eastern Europe (in particular Serbia, Bosnia and the former East Germany). CATARINA SIMÃO: an artist and researcher, Simão proposed the contents of the R-humour exhibition.
