Primeira vez da OUT.RA na Qualia, com o anfitrião-por-um-dia Rafael Van Ayres a apresentar o resultado da Bolsa de Criação OUT.RA 2019: o novo álbum do músico, que será revelado numa sessão de escuta colectiva seguida de uma conversa com o autor, que anima o som ambiente durante o jantar e até ao início dos concertos.
Após o jantar, dois convidados especiais escolhidos por Van Ayres: DJ PROBLEMAS (alter-ego de Afonso Mota que continua a desbravar caminho por um dancefloor meio oblíquo) e Waterdownrobotroute (Pedro Brito, um dos jovens prodígios ligados à não menos admirável editora Rotten \ Fresh)
“Aproveitei o novo Janeiro para mudar, começar e continuar. Tudo ao mesmo tempo? Ya tudo ao mesmo tempo.
Van Ayres finalmente apresenta coisas, no Barreiro, sua nova cidade-casa. Não é nova, já tá cá à quase dois anos.
Novas composições que saem da toca só para se alimentar. Criámos uma armadilha para as apanhar desprevenidas.
Usamos a tarde para guiar raios à sala. À noite ilumina-se o caminho.”

OUT.RA’s ‘s first time at Qualia, with host-for-a-day Rafael van Ayres presenting the results of the OUT.RA Creation Grant for 2009: His new album, which will be revealed in a collective listening session followed by a conversation with the author, who will also be in charge of the music played during the dinner and up to the start of the performances.
After dinner, two special guests chosen by Van Ayres: DJ Problemas (Afonso Mota’s alter-ego, threading new ground through a somewhat oblique dancefloor) and Waterdownrobotroute (Pedro Brito, one of the young prodigies connected to the no less admirable label Rotten \ Fresh).
“I used the new January to change, begin and continue. All at once? Yeah, all at once.
Van Ayres is finally presenting stuff, in Barreiro, his new city-home. Not new, he’s been here for almost two years.
New pieces coming out of their den to feed themselves. We set up a trap to catch them unaware.
We use the afternoon to guide rays of light to the room. At night, we illuminate the path.”
