This workshop is a food cultural trip that you would not want to miss, mixing stories with ingredients. Come cook, taste and tell food stories with us.
This project will require your full hands on!
Participants will work in groups given a set of ingredients and a story relating to the anonymous vegetarian dish they will be creating. After completing both dishes, the groups will exchange and try the dishes. Finalizing with a personal story of the experience each one had in the process.
There will be wine :)
Please note:
this is a pay by contribution workshop. (Covering cost of logistics and ingredients used)
- 12 people max. (therefore registration is required)
Door open at 15hrs following by introduction and primary instructions of the workshop. After dinner, stories and some wine and as is the community ethos of our society you will help with composting, recycling, washing-up and cleaning your station.
Workshop ends at 19hrs.
About the project facilitator:
Rayan Merhy is a master’s student at the Belas Arts University of Porto. Growing up in Brazil and moving to Lebanon as a teenager made her realize today the importance of our culturally related lives and how we transform through it. Through her studies of the public
spaces of the city one of her main focuses are communal eating, stories, memories and food.
Family/ Child friendly:
This workshop welcomes people of all ages interested to get their hands dirty. Even though we strictly advise that children under 16 be supervised by a parent.

We ask you to give consent as you register, with respect to any film, photography, video or audio recordings being made with respect to your participation in this class. You are most welcome to also take pictures, but please do check with those in your group that they are happy to be pictured.
