Conferência/Debate que aborda o desenvolvimento da cultura digital no design. Explora-se o impacto das ciências da computação e a profunda influência dos discursos de informação no design, contando com o contributo de designers, arquitetos, artistas, teóricos, entre outros. As alterações nos processos de design através da tecnologia têm sido profundas e aceleradas. Compreender e moldar essa transformação constitui a base de actuação do design contemporâneo. 

Talk/Debate addressing the development of digital culture in design. It explores the impact of computer science and the profound influence of information discourses on design, with contributions from designers, architects, artists, theorists and others. Changes in design processes using technology have been deep-rooted and rapid. Understanding and shaping this transformation forms the operational basis of contemporary design.

— Areti Markopoulou 
Arquiteta, educadora e tecnóloga urbana de origem grega, trabalha a interseção entre arquitetura e tecnologias digitais. É diretora da IAAC – Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia, em Barcelona; coeditora da Urban Next e cofundadora do StudioP52, uma galeria coletiva de arte e tecnologia / She's an architect, educator and urban technologist working on the intersection between architecture and digital technologies. She is Director at IAAC – Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia in Barcelona; co-editor of the Urban Next; and co-founder of StudioP52.

— Fabio Gramazio 
Arquiteto com interesses multidisciplinares, que vão desde o design computacional e a fabricação robótica à inovação material. Em 2000, com Matthias Kohler, fundou o galardoado gabinete Gramazio Kohler Architecture. Ambos são professores catedráticos na ETH Zürich, onde dirigem em conjunto o Gramazio Kohler Research. Iniciou o primeiro laboratório robótico de arquitetura em 2005, que integra atualmente 30 investigadores / He's an architect with multi-disciplinary interests ranging from computational design and robotic fabrication to material innovation. In 2000, he founded the award-winning architecture practice Gramazio Kohler Architects together with his partner Matthias Kohler. Both partners are full professors at ETH Zürich, where they jointly lead Gramazio Kohler Research.

É cocurador das exposições Sleeping Beauty. Reinventing Frei Otto’s Multihalle (2018); Frei Otto. Thinking by Modeling (2016/17); Fritz Haller. Architect and Researcher (2014) / He's director of the Archive for Architecture and Civil Engineering at the KIT – Karlsruhe Institute of Technology; a member of the advisory board of the magazine Arch+; and co-editor/co-author, among many others, of the books Brazilian Intelligence. — Mario Carpo 
Professor na Barlett School of Architecture do University College de Londres, tendo dirigido o Centro de Estudos do CCA – Centro Canadense de Arquitetura em Montreal entre 2002 e 2006. As suas pesquisas e publicações centram-se na relação entre teoria da arquitetura, história cultural, história dos media e tecnologia da informação. O seu premiado livro Architecture in the Age of Printing (MIT Press, 2001) foi traduzido em várias línguas / Mario Carpo is a professor at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL London. He was the Head of the Study Centre at the Canadian Centre for Architecture in Montreal from 2002 to 2006, and professor at the Yale School of Architecture from 2010 to 2014 and in 2017. His research and publications focus on the relationship among architectural theory, cultural history, and the history of media and information technology. His award-winning Architecture in the Age of Printing (MIT Press, 2001) has been translated into several languages.
