The Parable of the Long Spoons

Tributo prestado à artista Ashmina Ranjit, oriunda do Nepal, sob a forma de uma (re)encenação de uma das suas preformances "Heaven and Hell". A colher, demasiado comprida para cumprir a sua habitual função de apoio ao alimento individual, incorpora assim, através do seu uso colaborativo e partilhado, uma perspectiva vivida da alegoria do bem e do mal, do céu e do inferno, que surge em várias culturas religiosas. Vão ser servidos pratos tradicionais portugueses numa reinterpretação mais sustentável, totalmente vegetariana.

Based on the work of the artist Ashmina Ranjit, born in Nepal taking form as a reenactment of one of her performances.
The spoon, being too long to preform its natural function as a self sustaining tool, takes form as a collaborative dinner. Embodying an allegory of good and evil, of heaven and hell, translated into different cultures.
There will be served traditional portuguese dishes in a more aware and sustainable way, totally vegetarian.
