Cíntia A Banda (22h, Elektra) Os Cíntia são uma banda de música instrumental formada no ano de 2017 por músicos jovens de Lisboa, que mescla em seu som características do pós-punk, jazz fusão, hip-hop, grunge, neo-soul, música eletrónica etc… As suas músicas são criadas primeiro apenas por um membro da banda, com acordes, melodias, sugestões de ambientes e uma estrutura definida. Quando chegam aos outros membros da banda, começam a tomar forma, e vão sendo tocadas em vários concertos até chegarem à sua forma definitiva. A maior parte delas também passou por várias formações diferentes antes de chegar à atual, com Simão Bárcia na guitarra e eletrónica, Tom Maciel nos teclados e Ricardo Oliveira na Bateria. Só Simão e Tom se mantiveram constantes desde o início, mas não foi só a entrada de novos membros que mudou o som da banda. A adição de samples, e sintetizadores também tem trazido a banda de um som mais ligado ao rock e ao jazz, para um som mais electrónico. Lançaram durante este mês de Agosto quatro videos de uma live session gravada no B.Leza, e têm apresentado o seu trabalho em vários sítios, como o Damas, Sabotage ou a Praça Artur Portela num evento dinamizado pelo Com Calma. A festa continua com Woxow DJs -- "Afrotropical Bass Journey" Woxow is an alias for italian music lover, record collector, DJ, promoter, tour manager and booker, Theo Fulcheri. Theo’s obsession with music began at the age of 16, when he produced personalized cassette compilations for friends, just to be sure they were enjoying the same music he was. The step from there to DJing and organizing festivals was natural. Fulcheri founded reggae Sound System “CasaBrasa” and launched the legendary “Bornasco Reggae Festival” (2004-2009) which was recognized as one of the top up-and-coming festivals in Italy. It featured Italian and foreign artists, and hosted Alton Ellis for one of his very last gigs in 2007. Some of the artists to headline Bornasco included Derrick Morgan, Mad Professor, Trojan Sound, Dub Pistols, Dub Incorporation, Zion Train, Bitty McLean, Million Stylez, and Africa Unite, among many others. In 2010, he joined “The Sweet Life Society” and over the next 5 years, worked as a DJ, booker, tour manager and eventually producer. The italian collective toured all over Europe (Glastonbury, Bestival, Fusion, Boomtown, Lowlands, and more) as well as a very special, 30-day tour of the United States. After 20 years of serious digging and intense listening, Fulcheri is finally releasing his very first music production: an album entitled “Alcazar” under the moniker Woxow. The album features the legendary Ken Boothe, Akil the MC (of Jurassic 5), BluRum13, Hannah Williams (Record Kicks), Blacc El, Lostpoet, Pugs Atomz, and Stimulus. At the intersection of his extensive experience and creative output, is the recent launch of his own record label, “Little Beat More.” His dj set are a mix of AfroFuturism, Tropical Bass and Global Beats.
