Portrait photography is more than just the sum of technical skills. A photographer requires light, proper framing, the right clothes and props, and retouching to make an image flawless, yet portraiture is more than technical achievement. Even if everything is perfect, if the person sitting in front of our camera isn’t engaging… the image will fall flat.

With Sara Lando’s expert care and attention participants will develop a portrait concept and build an image one layer at the time, adapting and adjusting in order to navigate the vicissitudes of a subject-photographer interaction throughout the course of a single day, just as you would in your professional work.
