Paralelamente a apresentação da exposição “LisbonLQ2.jpeg”, Letta Shtohryn introduz brevemente a sua prática artística e as suas temáticas de pesquisa. >>> LETTA SHTOHRYN vive e trabalha em Malta. A sua formação acadêmica é em Fotografia (Art School Vienna); Filosofia / Sociologia (Universidade de Viena); MFA Digital Art (Universidade de Malta / 2016). Explora o nosso relacionamento com o mundo digital. Como método utiliza estratégias especulativas, poéticas e investigações metafísicas que respondem a aspectos do desenvolvimento digital usando novos média, esculturas, videogames, gadget comerciais e imagens.Sendo incessantemente inspirada pelo engano, Letta procura as origens do real e do artifício, explorando a linha ténue entre a verdade e a criação de mitos. Parallel to the presentation of the exhibition “LisbonLQ2.jpeg”, Letta Shtohryn introduce briefly her artistic practices and research themes. >>> LETTA SHTOHRYN works predominantly with media art, sculpture, textile and intervention. Her academic background is in Photography (Art School Vienna); Philosophy/Sociology (University of Vienna); MFA Digital Art (University of Malta / 2016). Concerned by our relationship to the digital realm, Letta explores our intertwined coexistence with it. As a method, she employs speculative strategies, poetics and metaphysical investigations that respond to aspects of digital development using new media, sculpture, video games, commercial goods and imagery. Being ceaselessly inspired by deception, Letta looks for the origins of the real and the artifice, exploring the fine line between truth and myth-making. Letta's work can be placed at the intersection between the digital and the tangible coexisting in a world that is increasingly governed by algorithms.
