Sonically adventurous at a young age, thanks to the presence of a short wave radio in the family home, Dorocke continues the exploratory traditions of artists such as Sun Ra, Miles Davis, Karlheinz Stockhausen, John Cage, Harry Bertoia, Egisto Macchi,and Harry Partch, as well as Derek Bailey, Freddie Roulette, Jerry Byrd, and Alvino Rey from a guitaristic standpoint. The worldly and cosmic sounds that surround us are also influential in the sonic componentry of the Resophonian Dialect. They have recently been awarded the OTO Projects UK Artists Residency Fund, released a 12" LP titled Long Play in October 2018, and have also been interviewed for The Wire (January, 2019). Long Play featured in several Best of 2018 lists, including Low Company, The Wire, and KRAAK. The group have performed internationally, touring with Mette Rasmussen to perform at Ultra Eczema's 20th Anniversary, (Antwerp), Fasching Jazz Club, (Stockholm) with Rasmussen and Richard Dawson, as well as at KRAAK festival, (Brussels).
