Capturing nature as my boundless passion, I feature it with people, creating emphatic and intimate atmosphere. The ocean always remains the essence of my photography; I greatly admire its power, impermanence and elegance. For me, there is a big parallel to my other big passion – surfing. Nothing teaches me more patience than doing ceramics, the same as surfing does. I do not know how many pieces I screwed up or broke because I was impatient and wanted to do it quickly. It’s the same for surfing; how many waves I did not catch because I wanted to take off early or got in a rush and did not take my time to focus, concentrate and most important: to relax and calm my mind. The results of if I do so, can be found here in this exhibition." ️ Jakob Grosse Ophoff, DE (Instagram @ja.ko.mo) "I was born and raised at the north sea in germany, where I started windsurfing and surfing in early years. This passion shaped a big part of my character, because it includes traveling, exploring and getting out of your comfort zone. Creating art has always been important for me and it is an honour to bring my thoughts on paper, so people look and think about it." ️ Lion Gust, DE "I'm an artist and surfer, carpenter and vagabond, life artist, cook, photographer and much more...! I've been roaming the European Atlantic coast for 4 years now. Searching for inspiration, fresh food, unrestrained moments, good books and left-hand pointbreaks. This is a small part of my work." ️ Luís Silva, PT (Instagram @sickfaces) "Portuguese-based artist Luis da Silva's inspiration lies in the natural environment surrounding him, cultural elements of the 60's and surf culture of his home country. Always with the sun and ocean on his mind, he enables a merge of meticulous and introspective work delivered through psicodelia motifs and geometric shapes. Taking the viewer to another world, close to his own: one filled with melancholia, nostalgia and happiness; he delivers a classic Portuguese view of it to his audience." ️ Maddy Couch, UK (www.maddycouch.com) "Maddy Couch is an artist whose work speaks to the power of compassion and the importance of protecting wildlife.
