How can design fit circularity?

Emmanuel Babled Studio & Passa Ao Futuro invite you to this new roundtable.
The necessity of turning our “industrial” society form a linear system, (where products and materials end up as waste) to a circular one (where whole system values for those same materials are created) has become mandatory.
Although numerous examples of projects and organisations that support this evolution are being developed, the transition, unfortunately, is still far from being a mainstream reality.
Making the shift isn’t easy, the scale of what we are designing has changed from products to companies to systems. 
And as new ideas and start-ups are popping up everywhere, this approach is being publicized as a life-saving methodology that can shift the way we structure our society and our relationship to the planet.
 
Today more than ever is important to understand where and how can design fit circularity?
We are going to discuss this topic with three circular design projects that are addressing problems in different ways:
 
- Novonovo: an online community for exchanging reusable materials.
- Circular Economy Portugal: an organization that promotes, create and assist social and sustainable projects of Circular Economy.
- @NÃM : a social project that recovers discarded coffee grounds in the district of Lisbon to produce fresh mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus) and organic compounds.

The round table will be followed by a light dinner for a small contribution (10€) per person. 
The dinner is going to be prepared by Alessandra Lauria - The Pasta Queen who will prepare delicious fresh pasta hand made for us.
