Peter Van Hoesen Capaz das mais delicadas tramas ambientais e dos mais esmagadores bulldozers techno, Peter Van Hoesen é aquele tipo de artista de que todo o movimento necessita, se quer manter as suas vistas e a sua mente abertas. A verdade é que este belga nunca se contentou em seguir os cânones do género onde se move. Van Hoesen sempre respondeu um retumbante SIM a perguntas que muitos produtores e DJs se calhar nem se atreveriam a colocar. Devemos fazer techno a 100BPM? Sim. Devemos colocar o baixo a definir a linha melódica desta faixa? Sim. E que tal meter à mistura influências New Beat belga e UK grime na mesma música? Obviamente, SIM. Em labels como Tresor e Dekmantel, ou as suas Time To Express e Center91, é evidente que o maior talento de Peter Van Hoesen está em ser capaz de se atrever a mesclar tanta coisa, e no entanto tudo lhe sair tão claro, definido e cheio de propósito. Este belga voador leva-nos de A a Z, claro que sim, mas o que vai ficar demonstrado esta noite no Lux, é que ele passa pelas outras vinte e tais letras do alfabeto do techno, sem uma única falha na dicção. Marco Shuttle Existe uma teoria da criação pseudo-científica, que afirma que a espécie humana foi colocada na Terra, por uma raça de astronautas ancestrais vindos de outro planeta. Ouvir Marco Shuttle, não só como DJ, mas mais ainda como produtor, leva-nos a pensar que este tipo de teorias têm que ter algum fundo de verdade. Outro conceito fácil de associar ao trabalho do italiano Marco Sartorelli, é o da “microdosing”, porque a sua música é capaz de, frequentemente, pegar em coisas familiares e surrealizá-las. No fundo, uma colher é mesmo uma colher, se estivermos a ouvir faixas como Sing Like A Bird, The Moon Chant ou The Vox Attitude, enquanto olhamos para ela? Em suma, o que Marco Shuttle faz parece tanto ter raízes em rituais milenares, como em transmissões extraterrestres oriundas de um futuro longínquo. Uma coisa é certa, nada nele soa como sendo exactamente deste plano da realidade.
