The One-Minute Play Festival is a unique event in Lisbon: a contest featuring English-language one-minute plays drawn entirely from your submissions. That’s right: each play can last only up to one minute, and anyone can submit!
Our call to submissions ran from January 7th to February 9th. Now, the plays that were accepted will be performed in our March 22nd show, where the author and performers will be eligible to win cash awards totalling 250€ as attributed by a panel of celebrity judges!
This year there’s an added bonus: it being the 5th edition of our festival, we’ll also be showing the audience a few highlights from over the years.

Camões English Theatre Company is a an amateur theatre company based in Liceu Camões. Beginning in 2011, we have put up a series of shows, including 4 One-Minute Play Festivals, which have featured both amateur and professional actors, as well as guest judges such as Nuno Markl, Pedro Mexia, Filomena Cautela and Pedro Boucherie Mendes.
