PT_ENG [scroll down] Apresentações PACAP 2 15—24 FEV 2019 A segunda edição do PACAP - Programa Avançado de Criação em Artes Performativas - começou com um convite à falha. A falha enquanto condição indissociável do fazer e do risco que é imaginar e especular a partir da nossa experiência parcial do mundo. Responderam a este convite 15 artistas provenientes do Brasil, França, Itália, Lituânia, Uruguai e Portugal. Com idades compreendidas entre os 23 e os 38 anos e formação ou experiência nas artes performativas, artes plásticas, design, danças urbanas e teatro. Cada um destes artistas fez dos seus pares o principal recurso do Programa, formando uma micro-comunidade de contornos quase utópicos. Este ciclo é o primeiro momento de apresentação pública destes artistas nos seis meses do PACAP (de Setembro 2018 a Março 2019). Um ciclo de 14 peças que reflecte uma diversidade de imaginários, de modos de composição, de articulação entre forma e conteúdo, entre discurso e linguagem. São peças de 20 a 40 minutos produzidas num curto período de tempo e num contexto colectivo. O que faz com que estes trabalhos sejam tanto das pessoas que os protagonizam como daqueles que os acompanharam e influenciaram. Uma responsabilidade partilhada que gostaríamos de estender ao público que convidamos a assistir a este ciclo. Não só esperamos que vejam estas peças, como também que conheçam os artistas, que falem com eles e que divaguem a partir das suas propostas desdobrando os seus sentidos. É neste diálogo que o PACAP, enquanto Programa de Criação, se completa e se reconhece como um projecto cada vez mais integrado na comunidade. Sofia Dias & Vítor Roriz. ENG Presentations PACAP 2 The second edition of PACAP – Advanced Programme of Creation in Performing Arts – started with an invitation to fail. Failing as an inseparable condition of doing and of the risk involved in imagining and creating from our partial experience of the world. 15 artists from Brazil, France, Italy, Lithuania, Uruguay and Portugal answered this invitation. With ages between 23 and 38 years old with education and or experience in the performing arts, the visual arts, design, urban dance and theatre, each of these artists made their fellow artists into the main resource of the Program, creating a micro-community of a nearly utopian nature. This cycle is the first public presentation of these artists during the six-month period of PACAP (from September 2018 to March 2019). It is comprised of 14 pieces showing great diversity of imagery, composition methods, and ways of relating form and content, discourse and language. These 20 to 40 minutes duration pieces were created in a short period of time in a collective environment. These works therefore belong both to the persons that perform them as to those who accompanied and influenced them. We want to extend this shared responsibility to the audience we invite to see this cycle. We hope the audience members see the pieces and get to know the artists, to talk with them, and to unfold and extend the meanings of their works. This dialogue is the moment in which PACAP, as a Programme of Creation, becomes complete and integrated in the community. They began collaborating in 2006 on the research and creation of performances that have since been presented in over 17 countries. In their works words, voice, sound and objects become the focus of their research: thus throwing another light on the connection between movement and gesture. In 2011 they've been awarded the Prix Jardin d'Europe for their performance "A gesture that is nothing but a threat" that questions the hierarchy between words and movement. They have been invited to collaborate with different artists such as Catarina Dias, visual artist and long time collaborator, Lara Torres, Marco Martins, Clara Andermatt, Mark Tompkins and since 2014 they've been performing "Antony and Cleopatra" by Tiago Rodrigues and "Sopro" (2017) by the same director. They teach regularly workshops and classes and have been organising residencies and reflection groups for artists in different contexts. They were invited to make the curatorship for the second edition of PACAP - Advanced Program of Creation in Performing Arts, Forum Dança (2018/2019). They have premiered their most recent piece "What does not happen" in Alkantara Festival 2018.
