Our next event at Arroz Estúdios will be a partnership between portuguese Escuro collective and dutch homologue OBSCUUR Records.
It’s not a novelty to see the word darkness often associated to this music cult. It also doesn’t mean that it defines the whole cult. It wouldn’t be fair to say it. Either because of the many ways to approache it by the multiple creators in the scene or simply because of the subjective dimension of each individual.
We don’t fear it. We embrace it as the half part of the whole which it is. In the absence of light we find unity.

For this session we will count with artists representing both collectives .
Shcuro, a Lisbon based DJ. It is a gloomy project from João. He often acts at reference clubs like Plano B or Lux Frágil. He runs a record label called sombra with a radio show at Radio Quântica. No doubt he is one of the most notorious figures on the portuguese scene and he will be representing OBSCUUR Records.
As him, Dentis is also going to represent it. He is coming from Netherlands to present his performance powered by noisy sounds and crispy textures.
Representing Escuro we will count with Van Der, Raver's Diary, Trémulo and Valody.
VJs Anonymous crew will again be responsible for the visuals instalations with the cooperation of Guilherme Rosário.

Access Info(!):
- Arroz Estúdios is on the other side of the river, for the ones coming from Lisbon center side (Cais do Sodré). Access is easy, being only less than 9 min by boat.
- From Cais do Sodré boat station it must be taken the one with Cacilhas as destination.
- The cost of the trip is 1.30€ (single ticket)
- The studio is less than 2 minutes away by walk from Cacillhas boat station. Once you leave it, you just have to turn right and go straight by Rua de Cacilhas, close to the river for about 50 meters. You can also follow the address associated to the venue shown here.
- Last boat to Cacilhas leaves at 1:40 am from Cais do Sodré.(!)
- The first one to Cais do Sodré starts at 5:30 am.
