A primeira edição do Concurso Internacional de Composição para instrumentos de percussão no âmbito da III edição do Peles International Drum Fest 2018 é destinada a compositores de todas nacionalidades. 2. O concurso tem por objetivos promover a criação de obras originais para a percussão em geral, enriquecer o património musical de obras dedicadas às percussões, divulgar as obras premiadas em concerto, gravações e edições de partituras e fundir os estilos, linguagens e estéticas musicais através dos instrumentos de percussão. 3. A organização do concurso é da responsabilidade da CAISA CRL e tem como presidente do Júri o compositor Jean-François Lézé. Artigo 2 CATEGORIAS 1. Composição para percussão solo (com ou sem electrónica*) com duração mínima de 5 (cinco) minutos e máxima de 8 (oito) minutos. 2. Composição para ensemble de percussão (com ou sem electrónica*) com formação desde o duo até sexteto (escolha do candidato) com duração mínima de 8 (oito) minutos e máxima de 10 (dez) minutos. *O uso da electrónica não poderá ser feito em tempo real, sendo obrigatoriamente manipulada pelo(s) interprete da obra através de suporte áudio, vídeo, etc. Artigo 3 CONDIÇÕES DE PARTICIPAÇÃO 1. Este concurso é aberto aos compositores de todas nacionalidades sem limite de idade. 2. Os candidatos devem apresentar apenas uma obra por categoria, podendo participar nas duas categorias propostas. 3. A inscrição, devidamente preenchida, com a identificação completa do candidato: nome, morada, contactos e categoria(s) escolhida(s) assim como o pagamento da(s) taxa(s) de inscrição deverá dar entrada na secretaria da CAISA CRL impreterivelmente até ao dia 30 de janeiro de 2019. 4. A taxa de inscrição para uma categoria é de 100€, para as duas de 150€, não havendo reembolso das mesmas. 5. As obras a concurso devem ser enviadas até 30 de Janeiro 2019 e serão avaliadas até 30 de Fevereiro pelos membros do Júri. 7. As obras finalistas serão anunciadas na página do Facebook do Peles-International Drum Fest entre 28 de fevereiro de 2019 e 1 de Maio de 2019, como os seus compositores serão informados via email. 8. As obras finalistas da categoria solo serão interpretadas e avaliadas em concerto dia 1 de Maio 2019 no âmbito IV Peles-International Drum Fest 9. As obras finalistas da categoria ensemble serão interpretadas e avaliadas em concerto no 16 de Maio 2019 no âmbito da IV Peles-International Drum Fest 10. Cada candidato deve entregar dois exemplares impressos da partitura da obra: - Um exemplar da partitura em formato digital (Sibelius, Final ou equivalente) a enviar para o endereço geral.peles.caisa@gmail.com - Um exemplar da partitura da obra em versão PDF a enviar para o endereço geral.peles.caisa@gmail.com 11. Os exemplares impressos da partitura da obra, juntamente com o sobrescrito fechado devem ser enviados por correio registado para a seguinte morada: CAISA COOPERATIVA ARTE INTERVENCAO SOCIAL ANIMACAO, CRL Rua de Carreiros, nº 61 União de Freguesias de Airão Sta Maria Airão S. João e Vermil, 4805-478 Guimarães, Portugal 12. Os exemplares da obra (impressos, digitais e PDF) devem ostentar apenas o titulo e pseudónimo do compositor não devendo conter qualquer elemento suscetível de identificação do autor. 13. Os elementos de identificação do candidato serão introduzidos num sobrescrito fechado com as seguintes informações: Nome completo: Pseudónimo; Data de nascimento; Nº do Documento de Identificação; Morada; Código postal; Email; Contacto telefónico Categoria e nome(s) da(s) obra(s). Artigo 4 JÚRI 1. O júri será constituído pelos compositores Luís Carvalho, Emmanuel Sérjourné e Jean-François Lézé, presidente do júri. 2. As decisões do júri serão soberanas e inapeláveis. Artigo 5 PRÉMIOS 1. As obras premiadas recebem por categoria: - 1º Prémio: 1000€ e edição da obra em CD e em partitura. - 2º Prémio: 350€, edição da obra em CD e em partitura. - 3º Prémio: 150€, edição da obra em CD e em partitura. - Prémio do Público - atribuição feita mediante resultados da votação do público nos concertos de apresentação das obras finalistas no Peles-International Drum Fest . 2. O júri reserva-se o direito de não atribuir prémios. 3. O Prémio associado ao 1º vencedor na categoria percussão solo, terá o nome Teófilo Braga. 4. O prémio associado ao 1º vencedor na categoria ensemble, terá o nome de Bernardino Machado. 5. Não haverá obras premiadas ex-aequo 6. Podem ser atribuídas menções honrosas se o júri assim o entenda. 7. Não haverá recurso das decisões do júri. 8. Os candidatos finalistas e premiados do concurso serão convidados a participar e assistir aos ensaios, concertos e gravações das suas obras. 9. A data de entrega dos prémios será divulgada na página do facebook do Peles-International Drum Fest a partir de 30 de maio de 2019. Artigo 6º REGULAMENTO 1. As obras devem ser compostas para serem interpretadas em concerto. 2. O Júri reserva-se o direito de avaliar a exequibilidade das obras. 3. As obras a concurso devem ser inéditas, sendo excluídas todas aquelas que tenham sido tornadas publicas ou que tenham sido premiadas em qualquer outro concurso até a conclusão da presente edição do concurso. 4. O direito de autor inerente às obras apresentadas no contexto do presente concurso, permanecerão com os respectivos compositores, concedendo estes, no entanto, á CAISA C.R.L. o direito, livre de encargos pelo período de dois anos, nomeadamente: a) Na apresentação da obra nos concertos dos laureados; b) Na gravação e Edição do CD e Edição Física da Partitura c) Na utilização das mesmas nos concertos realizados pelos Atlantic Percussion Group ou outros a definir pela CAISA C.R.L. d) Numa possível difusão por algum órgão de comunicação social, seja ele, Rádio, Televisão ou Plataforma na internet. 5. O(s) vencedor(es) compromete(m)-se a fornecer o material necessário à execução da obra (partitura e partes) em concerto e gravação, em boas condições de utilização sob pena de esta não ser executada. 6. Todas as obras não premiadas e respectivos sobrescritos de identificação ficarão na posse do acervo da CAISA CRL. 7. Compete à CAISA C.R.L. e ao Diretor Artístico do Peles –International Drum Fest a resolução dos casos omissos neste regulamento. 8. A participação no concurso implica a aceitação de todos os artigos deste regulamento. 9. Este regulamento foi analisado e aprovado pela Direção da Cooperativa de Artes, Intervenção Social e Animação C.R.L., obtendo o parecer favorável do Diretor Artístico do Peles – International Drum Fest e do presidente do Júri o compositor Jean-François Lézé. 10. Para qualquer situação judicial a comarca responsável será a de Guimarães. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ENGLISH 1st International Composition Contest For Percussion Article 1 SYNOPSIS The first edition of the International Composition Contest for percussion instruments under the III edition of Peles International Drum Fest 2018 is aimed at composers of all nationalities, without age limits . The aim of the contest is to promote the creation of original works for percussion in general, to enrich the musical heritage of works dedicated to percussion, to publicize the awarded works in concert, recordings and editions of scores and to merge styles, languages and musical aesthetics through percussion instruments. The organization of the competition is the responsibility of CAISA C.R.L. and has as president of the Jury the composer Jean-François Lézé. Article 2 CATEGORIES 1. Composition for solo percussion (with or without electronics *) with a minimum duration of 5 (five) minutes and maximum of eight (8) minutes. 2. Composition for ensemble percussion (with or without electronics*) with training from duo to sextet (choice of candidate) with a minimum duration of 8 (eight) minutes and a maximum of 10 (ten) minutes Article 3 CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION 1. This contest is open to composers of all nationalities with no age limit 2. Applicants must submit only one work per category and may participate in the two proposed categories. 3. The registration, duly completed, with the identification of the candidate: name, address, contacts and chosen category(ies) as well as the payment of the registration fee (s) must be entered in the secretariat of the CAISA CRL by no later than January 30th 2019. 4. The registration fee for a category is € 100, for both is € 150, and there is no refund. 5. The works in the contest must be sent until January 30th 2019 and those will be evaluated by the members of the Jury until February 30th. 7. The Finalist works will be announced on the Peles-International Drum Fest Facebook page between February 28, 2019 and May 1, 2019, as their composers will be informed via email. 8. The finalist works of the solo category will be interpreted and evaluated in concert on May 1st 2019 in the scope of IV Peles-International Drum Fest 9. The finalist works of the ensemble category will be interpreted and evaluated in concert on May 16, 2019 under the IV Peles-International Drum Fest 10. Each candidate must deliver Two printed copies of the work's score: - A copy of the score in digital format (Sibelius, Final or equivalent) to be sent to the following email geral.peles.caisa@gmail.com - A copy of the work sheet in PDF version to be sent to the following email geral.peles.caisa@gmail.com 11. The copies of the work (printed, digital and PDF) must bear only the title and pseudonym of the composer and must not contain any element that can identify the author. 12. The identification elements of the applicant shall be sent in a sealed envelope with the following information: Full name; Pseudonym; Date of birth;Identification Document Number address; Postal Code; Email; Phone contact; Category and name(s) of the work(s). Article 4 JURY 1. The jury will be constituted by the composers Luís Carvalho, Emmanuel Sérjourné and Jean-François Lézé, president of the jury. 2. The decisions of the jury shall be final and unappealable. Article 5 PRIZES 1. The winning works are awarded by category: -1st Prize: 1000 € and edition of the work in CD and in score. -2nd Prize: 350 €, edition of the work in CD and in score. -3rd Prize: 150€, edition of the work in CD and in score. -Audience Prize - attribution made through public voting results at the finalist concerts at Peles-International Drum Fest. 2. The jury reserves the right not to award prizes. 3. The Prize associated with the 1st winner in the solo percussion category will be named Teófilo Braga. 4. The prize associated with the 1st winner in the ensemble category will be named Bernardino Machado. 5. There will be no prizes ex-aequo 6. Honorable mentions may be given if the jury so wishes 7. There shall be no appeal against decisions of the jury. 8. The finalists and winners of the competition will be invited to attend the rehearsals, concerts and recordings of their works. 9. The awards will be announced on the Peles-International Drum Fest Facebook page starting May 30, 2019. Article 6 COMMISSION REGULATION 1. Works must be composed to be performed in concert. 2. The Jury reserves the right to evaluate the feasibility of the works. 3. The works in the contest must be unpublished, being excluded those that have been made public or those that have been awarded in any other contest until the conclusion of this edition of the contest. 4. The copyright inherent to the works presented in the context of this competition, will remain with the respective composers, however, they have to grant CAISA C.R.L. Free duty charge for a period of two years, mainly: a) In the presentation of the work in concerts of the laureates; b) In the recording and editing of the CD and Physical Edition of Score c) In the use of the same in the concerts made by the Atlantic Percussion Group or others to be defined by CAISA C.R.L. d) In a possible diffusion by some media, Radio, Television or Platform on the Internet. 5. The winner (s) agrees to provide the necessary material for the performance of the work (score and parts) in concert and recording, in good conditions of use under penalty of not being executed. 6. All non-awarded works and respective identification envelopes will be in possession of the CAISA CRL collection. 7. CAISA C.R.L. and the Artistic Direction of Peles – International Drum Fest are in the right to resolute cases that are not covered by this regulation 8. Participation in the contest implies the acceptance of all the articles of this regulation. 9. This regulation was analyzed and approved by the Direction of the Cooperative of Arts, Social Intervention and Animation C.R.L., obtaining the favorable opinion of the Artistic Director of Peles - International Drum Fest and the president of the Jury, the composer Jean-François Lézé. 10. For any judicial situation, the responsible district will be Guimarães.
