PIG FRENZY, Roterdão (punk/garage)

Pig Frenzy is a new garage punk band from Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The band consists of Timo (vocals), Micha (guitar), Amber (bass) and Lukas (drums). They also play in bands Forbidden Wizards, Goodnight Moonlight and Inwar.
It is early 2018 when Pig Frenzy gathers in the rehearsal room to start a post-punk band. With Warsaw (Joy Division in their early years) in mind they begin to write their first four songs.
The result is not the intended post punk, but a raw blend of (post) punk, garage rock and surf, delivered with volcanic violence. An eruption of musical perversions and savage frenzy. In order to keep that raw energy intact, these four tracks have been analogously recorded in one take at Duct Tape Studio in Rotterdam. The recordings were released on May 30th as an EP on cassette in an edition of 50 copies.
In honor of this release, Pig Frenzy played their first non-official gig at a secret location for an intimate crowd. It took just 50 seconds before vocalist Timo was crowd surfing through the first song. The remaining 21 minutes of the performance were smeared with chaos, sweat and even blood.
Two songs from the EP cassette, “I Don’t Need You” and “Oral Moral” are being pressed on 7" vinyl by the new Rotterdam label Spazz Records in a limited edition of 300 copies. The 7” will be released on September 7, 2018.

ELEPHANT MAZE, Lisboa (garage/rock/surf/punk/psych)

Os Elephant Maze são uma banda formada em Lisboa, em meados de 2017. A banda é composta por dois jovens músicos que, juntando as construções sonoras e os timbres que retiram dos seus instrumentos, criam moléculas compostas por átomos de garage rock alternativo enfeitado em tons de psicadelia. Este composto químico é já responsável por um par de músicas. cujas gravações culminaram no lançamento, em Setembro de 2017, do primeiro single "Deaffuzz". O single inclui a faixa que lhe dá o nome, bem como uma faixa extra (o b-side "To Conflate") e estas músicas não só contrastam nas texturas que se dedicam a explorar, como também se intersetam naquilo que as torna particulares. "Deaffuzz" é o lançamento que abre as portas ao que aí vem e serve como cartão de visita para concertos que já provaram ser destrutivos. O EP é a bomba que se segue...
