ENTRADA LIVRE A Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa apresenta o seu Polo Cultural com o programa HOSPITALIDADE. Dia 13 de outubro, das 9h30 à meia noite, venha visitar exposições, assistir a peças de teatro, leituras, concertos e dj set, aprender jogos, participar em workshops e experimentar a cozinha tradicional do Oriente, no Largo Trindade Coelho, em Lisboa. Exposição guarda Armanda Duarte 10h00 – 18h00 Museu de São Roque Entrada livre mediante levantamento de bilhete Patente até 2 dez. “Guardamos a inteireza do nosso corpo e, por espelho ou bondade, afligimo-nos com essa falta nos corpos alheios. O Museu de São Roque, à semelhança de todos os museus, guarda. Guardam-se, neste museu, sinais de abandono e pobreza, guardam-se fragmentos de corpo morto e memória da doença, guardam-se sinais de poder, de caridade genuína e caridade política. Guardam-se afeições da mão e do olhar, guarda-se uma espécie de noite, sem estrelas, embrulhada em ouro e prata. Num jogo de duplicidades, de representações e teatralidades, quase tudo são objetos de transição e transposição, com utilidades de apelo à transcendência mas, também, à salvação e recuperação.” (Armanda Duarte). Para além da ideia de cuidado e acolhimento, interessou à artista Armanda Duarte a qualidade física de algumas representações no museu, as coisas inertes, a aparência uniforme, o movimento dos que cuidam e vigiam o périplo dos visitantes. A essa atenção, acresce aquilo que Armanda Duarte guarda consigo mesma. A exposição guarda pequenos gestos de procura, extremidades de objetos do quotidiano, um pequeníssimo grão de terra, substituindo o corpo morto de uma formiga, uma frase escrita por mão constrangida, duas pedras em equilíbrio, uma lata. Esta exposição permite pela sua singularidade olhar a omnipresença das peças barrocas a partir da ideia de contraste: de valor, de pertinência, de produção e de expectativas face à arte. Like all museums, the Museu de São Roque guards things. This museum guards signs of abandonment and poverty, fragments of dead bodies and the memory of sickness, it guards signs of power, of genuine charity and political charity. It guards the affections of the hand and the gaze, it guards a kind of night, starless, wrapped in gold and silver. In a spectacle of duplicity, make-believe and theatricality, almost all the objects on display involve transition and transposition, serving as an appeal to transcendence, but also to salvation and recovery." In addition to the idea of care and hosting, the artist Armanda Duarte found herself interested by the physical quality of some of the representations in the museum, the inert things, of uniform appearance, the movement of those caring for them and watching over the visitors. Armanda Duarte takes that sense of attention and adds what she keeps in herself. The exhibition conserves small gestures of searching, extremities of everyday objects, a tiny grain of earth, in the place of the dead body of an ant, a sentence hand written under duress, two stones balancing each other, a tin. Through its particular point of view, this exhibition teaches us to see the ubiquitous presence of baroque artefacts starting from the idea of contrast: in value, in belonging, in production and in expectations of art.
