Dear Familia, We invite you to join us on September 23rd for a very special familia gathering to honour, sing, dance, pray, drink cacao and take action to protect our waters and our land with our beautiful visiting Bali sister, Jennifer Ann Sings, Aude-Olivia Dufour and Uno Astrolodge, (Nuno Parem) from Gathika Vimana With the recent horrors of fire burning the land in Monchique we feel called to help in the form of reforestation. We are planning a 'reforestation' week in Monchique on October 19-24th and will publish more information on this soon. We are calling the whole family tribe t transform prayer into collective action and plant various diverse trees to create a healthy forest starting with this gathering. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Ceremony will begin at 12.30pm and we will open and close the container together. We ask that you bring with you a small token amount of sacred water from your neighbouring lakes, wells, river, oceans as an offering for our ritual. It is our responsibility to be her guardians, If not us, who else? To nourish her, to thank her To see her, to hear her, to feel her To help replenish a source that keeps us all alive. If protecting water is protecting every living being, then polluting water is a reflection of the damage we are doing to ourselves. Our lack of self love, for ourselves, each other, for the earth Taught to us from the first moment we arrived here Has lead us into a pattern of self harm, torture, destruction, self neglect, wasted love For its all we have ever known For it’s what our parents were taught And their parents were taught and so the cycle of self harm, lack of self love continues as we scrape at all we’re given with little gratitude and a constant inhumane hunger for more. We created a world that teaches it’s own to want more, be more, do more, instead of worshipping the abundance we have been given, That we ourselves already are. Instead of thanking and nurturing the land with minor actions of love and gratitude we neglect it and wait for ‘somebody’ else to clean up after us, or fix us, or love us. The same minor actions of love we need to help protect our waters, we need to do for our selves. When we take responsibility. When we step into our power. When we say I will take care of you, we take care of each other and we take care of Our land. Protecting land from fire starts with protecting water. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- About Jennifer Ann Jennifer Ann is a medicine singer, songwriter from Holland/USA with her roots in mantra and medicine music. With her search for the medicine and healing powers within music, she follows the traditions of mantra chanting and tribal ceremonial music. Now she is researching and building bridges between traditional mantra music (India), western music and shamanic chants (South- and North America). With her soulful voice and blending of rhythms and instruments she is rediscovering the path of the ancestors, bringing this sacred knowledge back to life, while building new relations between eastern and western worlds. These new songs are a fusion of tribal music and folk/singer-songwriter blended together as prayers for a better world. Which is where they launched Wednesday "Sound and Healing journey sessions". About Aude-Olivia Dufour Aude Olivia is a Self-Love and Sacred Sexuality Coach grown up in Quebec's countryside, where her creativity blossomed in symbiosis with nature. She then studied Business at Concordia, started two software companies, consulted in IT for the world's biggest, until she decided to embark on a spiritual quest in 2014, which led her to live in California and Bali. There, she dove deep into the ancient mysteries of life and her understanding of the human spirit. She reconnected with her wild side through energetic work, plant medicine, and tantra, among other portals. A passionate dancer who seeks to be live a fully embodied life, she now shares the fruits of her passion with all those who are ready to live from the heart and love their bodies through coaching, workshops, and inspired writing. Its part of the way we move through life as long as we're connected with the western society. Accepting this, embracing this, is igniting the fire so much stronger so we are able to drive more, and attract more. People are living to bring you magic, music, art, wisdom. It's their livelihood. That's why it's such a power that they dedicate their lives to it. Doesn't make family smaller, or less healing because money goes through it. If artists share their work, they need finances to do that. Giving more strength to their work, to feel more at ease, with more space to breathe. When artists feel more supported and their boundaries are clear, they are able to do their work better. It doesn't counter the family part, the prayers or building of community, it strengthens it.
