Produtor, DJ, promotor, editor, programador, esteve intimamente ligado ao electroclash (fundou a noite Trash, catedral do género durante 10 anos) mas também tem um projecto de rock psicadélico (Beyond The Wyzard's Sleeve); conhece os recantos mais duros e escuros da pista de dança, mas aplica os seus dotes de produção em bandas indie como os Mistery Jets; reparte-se em alter egos rebuscados e remistura grandes como New Order ou Daft Punk. Além disso tem uma editora, Phantasy Sound, onde lança discos seus e de gente como Daniel Avery, Connan Mocassin ou Ride... Erol Alkan não pára. É activo, está envolvido e não se prende a clichés. Depois de duas décadas bem rodadas em cabines de todo o mundo, mantém-se pertinente porque nunca perdeu o interesse, nem na musica, nem nas pessoas que a ela se entregam. Producer, DJ, promoter, label owner, programmer...He was a key figure in electroclash, running the influential club night Trash for 10 years, but he is also part of Beyond the Wizzard's Sleeve, a sort of psychedelic rock act. He's familiar with the darkest and hardest corners of the dance floor but aplies his skills producing indie bands like the Mistery Jets. He has all these weird obscure alter egos but remixes stars like New Order or Daft Punk. He also runs a record label, Phantasy Sound, releasing his own stuff as well as music from people like Daniel Avery, Connan Mocassin or shoegazing stars Ride... Erol Alkan never stops. He keeps active and engaged. After two decades spinning records around the world, he's still interesting because he's still interested, in the music, and in the people that dance to it.
