Começando nos Son Kite, continuando nos Minilogue e prolongando-se agora numa carreira a solo, Sebastian Mullaert tem feito da sua vida na música uma exploração desta infinitude circular, aplicada à eletrónica dançável. It is something we learn in the course of the circle of life: there is more music to hear than it can be heard. Starting with Son Kite, carrying on with Minilogue and then on to a solo career, Sebastian Mullaert has made his life in music an exploration of this circular infinity, applied to danceable electronics. And there is an impression that stays with whoever hears the results of this exploration, that if on the one hand it is impossible to listen to all the music, it is possible, even mandatory, to feel the music entirely. Lux has already felt the impact of this truly 360-degree perspective from the Swedish musician, in his famed extended live-acts, but the whole concept of the Circle Of Live event series, which Sebastian is taking the world over, further extends the idea of the creation of music in the moment, inviting musicians who share this perspective to something that can only be designated as a true electronic jam-session, with no rules or limits. Launching at Freerotation Festival in July 2018, Circle Of Live will see an expertly curated collective of today’s most illustrious electronic live artists traverse the creme de la creme of Europe’s nightlife venues. Each live experience will be unhindered from any formal structure, allowing both performers and audience to explore the boundaries of improvisation in all of its raw beauty. Those extended all night long freeform improvised jam sessions will comprise of both collaborative and solo performances, with no set times decided in advance, allowing both audience and performers to stay curious and be fully present in the moment. An initial tour spanning 11 of Europe’s best venues will allow Sebastian to present Circle of Live alongside an extensive list of exciting artists to an international audience.
