Carolina Pereira believes that global citizens can use a holistic way forward to address the seemingly intractable worldwide problems.

She founded MY Destiny when she was 20 years old, #ChangingTheWorldThroughSurf, with educational programs turning kids into changemakers – running in Indonesia, Portugal, Brazil, Panama and India. 

She is also a HeForShe (UN Women’s movement for gender equality) advocate, promoting gender equality in everything she does and understanding how it is a precondition for sustainable development.

Now Carolina is collaborating with UN SDG Action Campaign (UNDP), as storyteller and project manager, to end poverty, fight inequality, and tackle climate change.

Adviser no BCSD Portugal, Conselho Empresarial para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável, onde acompanha diversos temas com impacto na sustentabilidade empresarial, como a neutralidade carbónica e as finanças sustentáveis. Coordenou os trabalhos de uma rede europeia de organizações similares na elaboração de dois documentos sobre os ODS, que incluíram mais de 70 casos de estudo empresariais. Estudou Ciência Política e Relações Internacionais em Portugal e na Holanda.
