english version below Desta Cadeira de Veit Stratmann 24.03.2018 :: 17h - 20h no Café Ceuta De 30 de Outubro a 10 de Novembro, Veit Stratmann esteve todas as tardes de segunda a sexta-feira no Café Ceuta, no Porto, e fotografou a cada 15 minutos o espaço desde o mesmo ponto de vista na mesma mesa a partir do mesmo ângulo. Fotografadas à altura da mesa, as imagens retornam ao espaço o ponto de vista de si mesmo, desde o nível em que geralmente qualquer individuo observa, o que pode ser comparado com o que normalmente é o palco, mas não corresponde ao olhar de fora para. As imagens estão fora de contexto em contexto. Elas formam uma camada ausente de dois vazios. As 122 imagens foram compiladas no formato livro de Artista, 1 imagem por página, horizontal, sem comentários. 50 cópias, assinadas e numeradas. O livro será apresentado no Café Ceuta, no Porto, Sábado, 24 de Março, das 17h às 20h. Veit Stratmann estudou na Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste, Dusseldorf e Haute Ecole des Arts du Rhin,Estrasburgo. Ele também concluiu os estudos em História da Artes e Ciências Politicas na Albert Ludwigs Universität, Freiburg, Alemanha. Veit tem uma bolsa do Institut des Hautes Etudes en Arts Plastiques, dirigido por Pontus Hulten. Actualmente, lecciona na Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts em Lyon, França. O seu trabalho tem sido apresentado internacionalmente. _________________________________________________________ Este trabalho foi criado no contexto do programa OUT THERE – artistas em residência no Porto | Novembro 2017, um convite e programação desenvolvida por MEZZANINE – associação sem fins lucrativos, para as artes performativas - 2009 - 2017. MEZZANINE foi financiada pelo Governo de Portugal - Ministério da Cultura/Direção-Geral das Artes e foi membro da Rede Associação de Estruturas para a Dança Contemporânea. english_________________________________________________________ From this Chair by Veit Stratmann 24.03.2018 & 17h - 20h at Café Ceuta From 30th October and 10th November, Veit Stratmann has spent every workday afternoon at Café Ceuta in Porto, taking every 15 minutes a picture of the space from the same spot at the same table in the same angle. Taken at table height, the images return the space like a sock by viewing it, from a level people generally look at, from what usually is the stage but not the look out. The images are out of context in context. They form an absent layer two voids. The 122 images were complied in an Artist’s book, 1 image per page, recto, without comment. 50 copies, signed and numbered. The book will be presented at Café Ceuta, Porto, Saturday, March 24th, from 5pm to 8pm. We kindly invite you to this book launch and to share this moment with us, and Veit Stratmann himself. Veit Stratmann has studied at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste, Düsseldorf and the Haute Ecole des Arts du Rhin, Strasbourg. He also studied Art History and Political Sciences at the Albert Ludwigs Universität, Freiburg, Germany. He was a fellow of the Institut des Hautes Etudes en Arts Plastiques, directed by Pontus Hulten. He currently teaches at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Lyon, France.
