Um dia dedicado ao Daf, o célebre frame-drum usado na música sufi, clássica e tradicional do Irão e especialmente no Kurdistão iraniano, tocado por homens e mulheres.

É com grande entusiasmo que o Colectivo Angklung e a RED STORE - percussion and more, em parceria com a plataforma Al Mah e Baltazar Molina, recebem Ostad Farzad Andalibi, um mestre da arte do Daf, em toda a sua dimensão musical.

Um dia pleno de actividades de enriquecimento musical e convívio na Casa Colectivo Angklung!


|| BIO ||

Ostad Farzad Andalibi, doutorado em Música Persa, nasce em 1968, em Sanandaj, no Kurdistão Iraniano, numa familia de misticos e músicos. Começa a tocar piano aos 4 anos de idade, participando em concertos de grupos de música de crianças no Kurdistão e em várias cidades do Irão. O seu avô Khalifeh Abdul Samad Andalibi, foi um dos mais importantes mestres Sufis da Confraria Ghaderi Talebani, reconhecido pela sua música e abordagem pessoal no uso do Daf nas cerimónias dos dervishes no Kurdistão.
Acompanhando o seu avô nos encontros sufis, Farzad vai aprendedo a tocar o Daf e a familiarizar-se com os ritmos Khaneghah - o local onde os dervishes e místicos sufis se encontram para a cerimónia conhecida como sama’a - aprofundando o seu conhecimento sobre a música mística.
Mais tarde, com a orientação da sua família e irmãos, começa a aprendizagem da música clássica e tradicional iraniana.
Já colaborou no Irão e no estrangeiro com os mais famosos mestres da música iraniana como: Ostad Shajarian, Ostad Shahnaz, Ostad Jamshid Andalibi, Anoshirvan Rohani, Zolfonon, Sima Bina, Daud Azad, Rezavi Sarvestani, Alireza Eftejari, Hesam Odin Seraj, etc. A sua discografia e videografia é imensa.
Em 2017 é publicado Amozeshe Jame Daf Navasi - Understanding Daf Playing - um método de estudo em dois volumes, escrito por Ostad Farzad Andalibi, com textos em farsi e inglês.
Para além do Daf, Farzad toca também outros instrumentos de percussão como: dohol, dayereh, bendir, tambla e chaimaz e instrumentos de cordas da tradição do Kurdistão como o divan e o tar.

A day dedicated to the Daf, the renowned frame-drum, played in sufi, classical and traditional music from Iran, specially in iranian kurdistan, by both men and women.

It's with great enthusiasm that Collective Angklung and the RED STORE - percussion and more, in association with the Al Mah platform and Baltazar Molina welcome Ostad Farzad Andalibi, a master of the art of playing the Daf in all its musical dimensions.   

A day filled with activities of musical enrichment and companionship at the House of the Collective Angklung!



|| BIO ||

Ostad Farzad Andalibi - PHD in Persian Music - was born in 1968 in the city of Sanandaj, in the Iranian Kurdistan, in a family of mystics and musicians.
When he was 4 years old he started to play piano and participated in children’s musical groups, giving concerts in Kurdistan and other cities in Iran. His late grandfather, Khalifeh Abdul Samad Andalibi, was one of the most important masters of Sufism of the Ghaderi Talebani brotherhood and also very famous by his music and personal way of playing the Daf in the dervishes ceremonies in Kurdistan. Farzad also started to learn how to play Daf along with his grandfather in the sufi gatherings and so became familiar with the Khaneghah rhythms (Khaneghah: the place where dervishes and sufi mystics gather for the ceremony known as sama’a) developing his skills in mystic music. Later, with the guidance of his family and brothers he started to learn the classic and traditional Iranian music. 
He collaborated in Iran and abroad with the most famous masters of the Iranian music such as: Ostad Shajarian, Ostad Shahnaz, Ostad Jamshid Andalibi, Anoshirvan Rohani, Zolfonon, Sima Bina, Daud Azad, Rezavi Sarvestani, Alireza Eftejari, Hesam Odin Seraj, etc.
His discography includes 37 albums and videos like:
Ya doost, Rast Penjegah, Ayyneh ro, Sarostan, Douri, Ba qdasian, Tazeh be tazeh, Muns jan, Bande Kabood, Paiiz Nizar, Majnoon, Nasime ney, Sukoot, Radife avazi Ostad Saba baraye saze ney, Khodah khafez, Ayyneye Ashk, Aman az jaday, Mehmane too, Klnjeh, zard, Setareh, Dokhtarshah prion, etc.
He has written Amozeshe Jame Daf navazi, Understanding Daf Playing, from elementary to advance in two volumes (published 2017), a compressive method with English-Farsi texts, on learning Daf Playing.
He also can play other percussion instruments such as: dohol, dayereh, bendir, tabla and chaimaz, and other string instruments from the Persian and Kurdish tradition such as divan and tar.

2. Music theory for Daf Playing. Basic notation. 
3. Basic Rhythms, 4/4, 2/4, Khaneghahi rhythms, with samples of uses in music composition.
4. Basic use of the Halqeh (daf chains), vertical movements and different rhythms.
5. Taknavazy, the solo play.

4. Intermediate use of the halqeh, horizontal movement and different rhythms.
5. Taknavazy, the solo play.
