Ata é o mastermind por trás do clube e editora Robert Johnson - um dos mais reputados clubes de música electrónica do mundo. Foi depois de uma noite lendária em Barcelona no fim dos anos 80 que decidiu que queria ser dj e desde então trilhou um extenso percurso: abriu a loja de discos Delirium, co-fundou as editoras Ongaku Musik, Klang Elektronik e Playhouse, criou a lendária noite Wild Pitch Club e viajou mundo fora disseminando o seu poder enquanto dj nos seus infames sets-maratonas, poderosos o suficiente para converterem o mais infiel dos infiéis.
Ata is the mastermind behind both club and label Robert Johnson - a landmark in Europe’s club scene ever since its inception. It was after a life-altering club night in Barcelona that he decided that he wanted to be a DJ, and has since come a long way – since his early days at Delirium record store, unforgettable nights at the Omen or his seminal Wild Pitch Club, Ata has co-founded the (very nearly holy) trinity of the Playhouse, Klang and Ongaku labels and travelled the world spreading his power as a dj. Amongst all this it would be easy to forget that he is still a DJ at the prime of his powers if it weren’t for his marathon sets that still have the power to turn lives around.
