OJM convida Eduardo Cardinho

O vibrafonista Eduardo Cardinho é o convidado da Orquestra Jazz de Matosinhos para o oitavo concerto do ciclo Novos Talentos do Jazz, cuja missão é revelar os melhores solistas da nova geração do jazz português. Vencedor do Concurso Internacional em Fermo e eleito o Melhor Instrumentista na Festa do Jazz do São Luiz em 2014, Eduardo Cardinho estreou-se em nome próprio em 2016 com “Back Hole”.

Recorde-se que o ciclo Novos Talentos, cuja missão é revelar alguns dos melhores solistas da nova geração do jazz português, começou em 2014 e o instrumento eleito foi a voz. Sofia Ribeiro foi a primeira cantora convidada, a que se seguiu, em 2015, Rita Maria. No final desse ano ainda houve tempo para o saxofone de Ricardo Toscano, e 2016 começou com João Mortágua. Com Mané Fernandes as atenções viraram-se para a guitarra. 2017 começou ao piano, com Gonçalo Moreira, a que se seguiu o acórdeonista João Barradas.

The vibraphonist Eduardo Cardinho is the guest of the Orquestra Jazz de Matosinhos for the eighth concert of the New Talents of Jazz cycle, whose mission is to reveal the best soloists of the new generation of Portuguese jazz. Winner of the International Competition in Fermo and elected the Best Instrumentalist at the São Luiz Jazz Festival in 2014, Eduardo Cardinho debuted in his own name in 2016 with "Back Hole".

The cycle New Talents os Jazz, whose mission is to reveal some of the best soloists of the new generation of Portuguese jazz, began in 2014 and the instrument chosen was the voice. Sofia Ribeiro was the first guest singer, followed in 2015 by Rita Maria. At the end of the year there was still time for Ricardo Toscano's saxophone, and 2016 began with João Mortágua. With Mané Fernandes the attention turned to the guitar. 2017 began with  piano, with Gonçalo Moreira, followed by the accordionist João Barradas.
