As cores do Roots-Reggae voltam a fazer-se ouvir no idílico jardim do Espaço Compasso, com mais uma incursão mensal dedicada aos ritmos conscientes e positivos da música jamaicana.
Destacando Selecta Bob Figurante na manipulação dos vinís, acompanhado por Likkle Natty, Selecta Higgla & convidados, o evento terá início às 16h, com uma Sessão Nyabinghi & Percussão Meditativa.
Seguidamente, na sala grande, vai haver uma feira de artesanato e produtos naturais/bios até ao fim da tarde, culminando o evento, entre as 20 e as 22h, com um jantar vegan/I-tal, acompanhado pela projecção do filme jamaicano The Harder They Come (1972).
Dirigido por Perry Henzell e Chris Blackwell, destaca-se a interpretação do cantor/compositor Jimmy Cliff no papel principal de Ivanhoe "Ivan" Martin, pobre músico que regressa ao bairro pobre de Kingston, Jamaica onde nasceu, numa tentativa de ascender a uma vida melhor, acabando por se envolver num mundo de crime e drogas! Secundado por nomes conhecidos da cultura jamaicana, como Prince Buster, Donn Toping, Carl Bradshaw, Ras Daniel Hartman, Toots Hibbert, Bob Charlton, Elijah Chambers, entre outros, a banda sonora ficou a cargo de Jimmy Cliff, The Slickers, Desmond Dekker, Toots and the Maytals, etc.

The colors of Roots-Reggae will once again be heard in the idyllic garden of Espaço Compasso, with another monthly incursion dedicated to the positive and conscient rhythms of Jamaican music.
Highlighting Selecta Bob Figurante in the handling of the viniys, accompanied by Likkle Natty, Selecta Higgla & guests, the event will start at 4pm with a Nyabinghi Session & Meditative Percussion.
Then, in the grand hall, there will be a craft and natural/bio products fair until the end of the afternoon, culminating the event between 8pm and 10pm with a vegan/I-tal dinner, accompanied by the screening of the 1972 Jamaican film "The Harder They Come ".
Directed by Perry Henzell and Chris Blackwell, the performance of the singer/songwriter Jimmy Cliff stands out in the lead role of Ivanhoe "Ivan" Martin, a poor musician who returns to the poor neighborhood of Kingston where he was born in an attempt to ascend to a better life , eventually getting caught up in a world of crime and drugs!
