Kabas is flute player Jan Daelman, pianist Thijs Troch, bassist Nils Vermeulen and drummer Elias Devoldere. These four impro-youngsters are fearless in their search for sound and interaction. They improvise in the moment and create compositions without limiting their selves to fixed structures or themes. Together with the Portuguese trumpet player Luis Vicente, they recorded a new album at the Namouche studio in Lisboa (+ a live set at SMUP, with Carlos Godinho) releasing it on the UK label FMR. In january Kabas + Luis Vicente will be touring Portugal to present this brand new album.
