She's been practising yoga for fourteen years and teaching it for four. She has a Yoga Alliance 200 hour teacher training certification. The rest of the time she's a writer of prose and theatre and a literary translator. Michael Langan Michael has taught creative writing for over 15 years. He has a background in performance poetry as well as a PhD. His writing includes fiction and arts journalism. He runs creative writing workshops at Escrever Escrever and Bookshop Bivar in Lisbon, reports on fiction manuscripts for The Literary Consultancy, London, and works as a writing mentor. The yoga We will practice in different indoor and outdoor locations and at different times of day. Sessions will differ and can respond to participants' interests - there will be the chance to explore different styles of yoga and to go deeper into some poses. The writing The writing sessions will focus on self-expression and experimentation. Free-writing exercises, often combined with mindfulness and meditation, will allow you to write in any style, form and language you like. We will create a non-judgmental environment so people feel able to stretch their thinking and practice. Even if you don't consider yourself a writer, there will be something for you to explore. We'll write inside and outside, using landscape, memory and imagination as inspiration for the unexpected.
