No mais antigo jardim municipal do Porto, Jardim de São Lázaro, a dupla Winnie SuperHova & Samuel Draper, artistas convidados do programa OUT THERE, irão partilhar nesta sessão de dia 11 de Novembro, a partir das 15h30, o que foram recolhendo ao longo do seu processo de trabalho na residência que iniciaram a 6 de Novembro e terminam a dia 12. Esta sessão é aberta a todos os interessados e curiosos. _________________________ Winnie SuperHova & Samuel Draper, são uma dupla de performers e coreógrafos convidados do programa OUT THERE. Ambos aqui, neste contexto colaboram pela primeira vez. Winnie SuperHova & Samuel Draper escolheram a Praça D. João I e Praça dos Poveiros & Jardim de S. Lázaro, na baixa da cidade do Porto, como locais públicos para residir e criar o seu trabalho. Iniciou a 6 de Novembro, e termina a 12 de Novembro'17. Estarão todos os dias em horários variáveis nestes locais, receptivos a qualquer interpelação do público curioso. To see the whole, expanding, including. , greeting, understanding and sharing space with the human and non-human inhabitants of a place: person, concrete, tree, spirit, sky, traffic lights, pigeon, fly. We will work with respectful loitering and deep listening practices that attune the senses towards empathic responses, and to examine the classic elusive question of improvisation and performance-making in public spaces - "What does the space need?" - is less about imposing and more a matter of waiting/revealing and becoming with - Dancing, perhaps, with a plant-like mentality." _______________________ Winnie HO (Superhova) A dance performance artist who juggles with the alchemy of, space, feelings and wastes within living and non-living bodies. Winnie creates practices in site specific spaces whereby boundaries between spectator and performer can be dissolved and redefined in the felt presence of immediate experience. Her works allow for digression, change and transformation through open dialogues and collective intuition in experimental settings. Winnie’s on-going interests/research include practicing empathy, making telepathic performances and conversing with plants and objects. Her durational and site specific works and performances have appeared in Europe (Germany, Sweden, Finland), Canada (Calgary, Montreal) and U.S. (Austin, New York City, Philadelphia). Samuel Draper A dancer and artist based in Stockholm. For the passed 4 years, they have worked for Cullbergbaletten, during which time they have had the privilege of working with Cristian Duarte, Trajal Harrell, Deborah Hay, Stina Nyberg and Jefta van Dinther. They are also a proud member of the performance collective TOGETHER ALONE, have worked closely with Frédéric Gies on several projects and sometimes go by the name WOMANLY PANTHER. Additionally, Samuel is an amateur tattoo artist, DJ, writer, a student of the School for Body-Mind Centering and a member of The Faculty of Astrological Studies, London.
