Junta-te ao BEAST IFF na quinta-feira, 21 de setembro para um fim de tarde que celebra a Europa de Leste e inclui a estreia nacional de “All These Sleepless Nights”, um documentário híbrido por Michal Marczak. Conheça o leste e o nosso programa de 2017. A noite terminará com uma festa especial na Embaixada do Porto que nos dará energia para começar o fim de semana de BEAST.

O festival terá como objetivo expor um cenário cinematográfico único com narrativas novas que retratam uma sociedade moderna e ousada. Este é o primeiro evento totalmente dedicado ao cinema da Europa de Leste em Portugal, promovendo a cultura audiovisual, a identidade e a indústria cinematográfica da região.

Nesta primeira edição, o BEAST Festival Internacional de Cinema irá decorrer entre 21 e 24 de setembro. Durante 4 dias, o festival irá contar mais de 70 filmes de 22 países divididos em 8 categorias. Para além das projeções, o BEAST trás ao coração do Porto workshops, eventos educativos e uma variedade de masterclasses dirigidas por peritos portugueses e do leste da europa. Para além do Teatro Rivoli, poderá encontrar-nos no Cinema Trindade, Cinema Passos Manuel, na Biblioteca Almeida Garrett e na Casa das Artes.

O programa da Sessão de Abertura integra a secção FOCUS POLAND, o país convidado da primeira edição do BEAST.

O BEAST International Film Festival está a ser produzido com o apoio da Câmara Municipal do Porto, o Cineclube do Porto, o Gabinete de Informação do Parlamento Europeu em Portugal, o Instituto Adam Mickiewicz e a Embaixada da Polónia em Portugal - com muitas outras parcerias que ultrapassam fronteiras.

Join BEAST IFF on Thursday, September 21st for an evening that celebrates Eastern Europe and includes the national premiere of All These Sleepless Nights, an hybrid documentary by Michal Marczak. Get to meet the east and our 2017 program. The night will end with a special party in Embaixada Porto which will give us energy to start the weekend of BEAST.

The festival aims to present a unique film scene with fresh and intriguing story lines, depicting a modern and daring society. This will be the first event totally dedicated to Eastern European cinema taking place in Portugal, promoting the film industry, culture and identity of the region.

For this very first edition, BEAST International Film Festival will take place SEPTEMBER 21 – 24. During this 4 days, the festival will feature 8 film sections with a total of over 70 films from more than 22 countries. Alongside, workshops, educational events and  diverse series of masterclasses held by Portuguese and East European experts, will take place in the heart of Porto. Besides Teatro Rivoli, you can find us in Cinema Trindade, Cinema Passos Manuel, Biblioteca Almeida Garrett and Casa das Artes.

The programme of the Opening Event is part of the FOCUS POLAND section, the guest country of BEAST’s first edition.

BEAST International Film Festival is supported by the City Council of Porto, Cineclube do Porto and the Information office of the European Parliament in Portugal, Adam Mickiewicz Institute and the Embassy of Poland in Portugal - with several other partners across borders.
