A dança ectática é um estilo de movimento que convida você a dançar livremente, abertamente, honestamente - dentro de todo o seu ser - e de maneiras sagradas com os outros. The dance is done indoors, barefoot usually, in loose clothes and free-form! Dance wild, meditate alone, "observe" or dance with others. GUIDELINES FOR THE DANCE: Please no drugs or alcohol at the dance, so you can fully be "present" in your dance. Please be there for the entire event. No "drop in's" before or afterwards, to respect the beauty of this sacred event. If you "step out" of the dance to take a break, please refrain from conversation (STAY INWARD) and return soon. Socialize AFTERWARDS. Respect others' personal space, inviting them to dance or "connect" with eye contact first, letting each person dance their own journey and their desire to dance with you, or to dance alone. Children welcome to participate in the beauty of the dance ceremony when parents guide them and involve them in the dance. No running children, please. "Ecstatic Dance" is usually done without talking. OBRIGADA. WHAT IS “ECSTATIC DANCE”? Ecstatic Dance is a style of movement that invites you to dance freely, openly, honestly – within your entire being – and in sacred ways with others. It is normally done with the whole group starting together, ending together and sharing, and staying for the entire dance. You are invited to sit in silence, run around like a wild banshee, shake and gyrate, dance alone or dance with others. It is always meant to be a sacred personal journey, taking you through a variety of sounds and rhythms, emotions and physical movements that YOU CREATE! In this ceremony, Heather will use shamanic sound, nature elements and ritual before and after dance. The actual dance itself is mostly up to you, free-form dancing... WHAT IS SHAMANISM? Shamanism is an ancient spiritual practice facilitated by a "shaman". A shaman usually uses SOUND (song/chanting, drum, rattle, bowl, flute), nature medicines and sacred ritual/dance/ceremony to help people "connect" with other dimensions and their "higher selves". This is done for the healing and growth of individuals and the entire community. A shaman does not "choose" his path, it "chooses" him through a series of initiations, intensive life lessons and spirit visitations.
