Transparency and equal distribution of the music industry's resources and revenues are some of the preoccupations that affect the industry in the digital era and will be debated in this session.

With a Master degree in Law and Film Business, with focus on marketing and distribution, Virginia Dias-Caron has been working in the music and film business for more than fifteen years by combining experience in the executive production of multiple audiovisual contents, as well as the management of projects and artists' careers. She has been working in an international market, coordinating projects and different teams, expanding her network in several countries, negotiating rights, thinking about content, cultural products and copyright globally. 


AKOTCHAYE OKIO (FR)
International Development Officer for Africa, Sacem - Society of Authors, Composers and Publishers of Music

Akotchayé Okio has been working at a professional level in African urban music for 20 years. Member of the Beninese rap band Ardiess, he did face the music field’s challenges that seriously hamper African musicians and decided to work as cultural operator. He chaired for 12 years Ardiess Productions and he is the general manager of Mix My Wax, an African urban music label. He is also the music representative in the National Artistic Ensemble board of directors and Editor in chief of Vida Loca Mag.


CASPER CLAUSEN (DK)
Musician, Efterklang/Liima

Casper Clausen, is the singer and founding member of renowned Danish ensemble Efterklang and newly found band Liima (Efterklang + Tatu Rönnkö). He is also co-founder of sound art radio station The Lake Radio and the record label Rumraket.

Artist, Gomo (Portugal) / Delegate to GDA, Management of Artist Rights (Portugal)

Paulo Gouveia is the delegate to GDA, a public and non-profit organization that represents artists' rights in Portugal. He is also an indie pop musician that performs under the alter ego Gomo.
