Academic English: linking adverbials in research articles

How are cohesive devices used in English research articles? Based on a corpus analysis of one hundred research articles, in soft and hard knowledge fields, this talk will focus on the use of connectors, namely linking adverbials, in academic English. It will offer an opportunity for theoretical and practical reflections on the process of essay writing.
