The University of Coimbra, one of the ancient and traditional European universities, celebrating its 727th anniversary, and through the College of Arts, is pleased to welcome the Director of the State Russian Museum, Mr. Vladimir Gusev.
College of the Arts is one of the Units for Teaching and Research of the University of Coimbra, offering courses in PhD in Contemporary Art and Master in Curatorial Studies. Reinforcing the innovation of the studies offered, College of the Arts has also many rooms with an intense program for Visual Arts exhibitions. Its student corpus has a great number of international students, mainly coming from Brazil, but also from other countries like Spain, Great Britain and China.
11.00a.m. - Ceremony of signature of the Cooperation Agreement between the Russian State Museum and the University of Coimbra, establishing the Virtual Museum Branch at College of the Arts to be signed by the Rector of the University of Coimbra, Professor João Gabriel Silva and the Director of the Russian State Museum;

At the ceremonies there will be present specialists of the State Russian museum, Professors and Vice-directors of College of Arts, Vice-Rectors and Deans of the Faculties of the University, PhD and Master students of College of the Arts, the responsible for the Center for Russian Studies at Faculty of Letters, Professor Vladimir Pliassov, students from the course of Russian Language and Culture, and public in general.
