Durante o mês de Março, Bentzen e Dalager estiveram em Lisboa enquanto artistas residentes na Shiki Miki Gallery. Este período de residência artística será concluído com uma exposição colaborativa. É aqui que as duas artistas, afastadas dos seus respectivos estúdios e práticas habituais, trabalharão numa série de obras conjuntas.
Ao criar uma atmosfera de sonho e introspecção composta de pinturas, esculturas e murais, LICK MY LEGS é uma exposição na qual a emoção se sobrepõe ao intelecto.
Desapega-te da tua mente racional e mergulha num ambiente cheio de encontros com os aspectos indomados, desorganizados e crus do eu. Esta é uma celebração do selvagem e do poder infinito do subconsciente. Partindo do desejo de quebrar as expectativas patriarcais do que é a feminilidade e sexualidade, Bentzen e Dalager procuram explorar e glorificar a desordem e a alegria do anormal.

LICK MY LEGS is a collaborative exhibition by Karla Marie Bentzen(DK) and Thilde Louise Dalager (DK). For the month of february Bentzen and Dalager will be visiting Lisbon as artists in residence at Shiki Miki Gallery. The artist residence period will conclude with a collaborative exhibition. From here the two artist: apart from their own respective practices, will be working closely together on a number of collaborative works.
By creating an introspective dreamscape of paintings, sculptures and murals, LICK MY LEGS is an exhibition in which emotion rules over the intellect. Let go of your rational mind and dive into a state full of encounters with the untamed, messy and raw aspects of ones-self. This is a celebration of the feral, and of the infinite power of the subconscious. From a desire to wreck patriarchal expectations of femininity and sexuality, Bentzen and Dalager seek to explore and glorify the disorder and bliss of the abnormal.
