Agents of Time são a imagem do que foi e do que será o melhor da electrónica italiana, banhada pelas influências do Adriático, num Sul mais profundo e mais progressivo do que nunca.

Andrea Di Ceglie, Fedele Ladisa e Luigi Tutolo são o trio de newcomers que, desde 2013, têm coleccionado pérolas lançadas à pista. Desde a inglesa Stem Records à Correspondant de Jennifer Cardini - com a bendita “Polina” - passando pelas releases na Ellum, label do nosso bem-amado Maceo Plex, eles garantiram o rápido aplauso e ascendente suporte de renomados da praça - como Tale of Us, Dixon, Anja Schneider ou John Digweed - que se apressaram a passá-los nos seus sets.

E se o início remonta a 2013 e se 2015 já se via como um grande ano para o trio, após a remistura de “Traces” dos WhoMadeWho e do EP Emperor com o single “Lotus Flower” destacado na Correpondant, o que estará para vir?

Sem dúvida que maturação: seja em DJset, live ou com a performance já explorada com orquestra, os Agents of Time proporcionam uma mostra de influências progressivas e ambientais intrincadas, jogadas pouco ao acaso, entre cabos e consolas, em exercícios analógicos meticulosos que tendem a originar surpresas e inquietudes, detalhes de profundidade a ganhar densidade e volume com o tempo... Bem dançado, com certeza.

If I could hang them on the wall and pass the hours appreciating the depth of their symmetry...

I’m talking about them, the trio i’ve labelled The Complex Triptych… a curious panel that fully deserves our careful observation and undivided attention, due, in part, to the endless layers they reveal in their music and the boundless potential they bring to the table. Agents of Time are a perfect depiction of the best qualities inherent in Italian electronic music, past, present and future, blended with much deeper and more progressive influences then one has come to expect from the South Adriatic coast.

Andrea Di Ceglie, Fedele Ladisa and Luigi Tutolo are three newcomers who, since 2013, have been responsible for a number of widely praised dance floor pearls. With releases on the UK’s own Stem Records, to Jennifer Cardini’s Correspondant (the future classic “Polina”), to their latest work on Maceo Plex’s Ellum, they have earned the respect and admiration of renowned artists such as Dixon, Tale of Us, Anja Schneider or John Digweed - whose regular support on his worldwide radio show “Transitions” got them massive exposure.

Considering they launched their career in 2013 and in 2015 we could already say they were having a great year, after remixing WhoMadeWho’s “Traces” and releasing the Emperor EP (featuring the single “Lotus Flower”), how much farther could they possibly go?

The trio is undoubtedly maturing and whether you catch one of their DJ sets or one of their highly elaborate Live performances, Agents of Time provide an intricate mix of genres, taking elements of techno, ambient and whatever else they fancy and masterfully weaving a wide array of moving parts together through a tangled mass of cables, synths, drum machines and mixers, all the while aiming to infuse their analog experiences with a sense of depth and tension that can carry their music beyond the threshold of common dance music.

In their own words, "Nulla è lasciato al caso, tutto è affidato al tempo.", or, “Nothing is left to chance, everything is entrusted to time.” With this in mind, surely the future belongs to them.
