Chemigrams bring the world of painting and photography together. In this workshop you will discover the endless possibilities of traditional photo paper. With the help of vernish, lipstick and even honey, wonderful designs are brought to life. Once you know the basics of this technique you will be able to play around and experiment.
For Elke Van Der Kelen photography is an invitation for experiment. She likes to play with different cameras, each with their own specific characteristics. Also the way a picture is printed and presented, is essential in her work. She knows her way in printing techniques such as cyanotype and gum printing. In 2010 she met Pierre Cordier who showed her the world of chemigrams. Fascinated by this technique she continued to experiment on her own.
